Job Overview
Role Overview:
The Valuation Control Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for contributing to the Independent Price Verification, Valuation Adjustment and Fair Value Hierarchy processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of valuation issues with stakeholders in the Business and Markets Controllers.
Identify process gaps and control issues
Analyse information and make recommendations based on data
Select the best pre-defined procedure to resolve issues and seek guidance when necessary
Follow and maintain accurate and complete procedure notes and associated maker checker responsibilities.
Escalate anomalies and issues in an efficient and timely manner
Interpret data, identify inconsistencies through research and recommend solutions based on analysis
Develop knowledge of how team interacts with others to accomplish Valuation Control goals
Develop basic knowledge of product valuation, industry practices and standards
Exchange complex information succinctly and with discretion
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Key Qualifications:
1-3 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree/University degree in finance field or equivalent experience
proficiency in English
