Job Overview

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Recommended Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

ETL AbInitio Developer

• ·Hands-on development of system functionality involving integrations between system functions as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements, partnering with multiple teams
• ·Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
• ·Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
• ·Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
• ·Resolve variety of problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards
• ·Collaboration & Testing: Work closely with tech leads and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Conduct thorough unit and system testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
• ·Agile Development: Thrive in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprints, backlog grooming, and continuous improvement efforts.
• ·Security & Compliance: Perform threat and risk assessments, implement security best practices, and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards
• ·Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Write clear technical documentation and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

• ·5+ years as Developer within a distributed, service-based, large-scale enterprise technology environment (financial institutions preferred)
• ·4+ years of experience in development of  Data Acquisition, creation of rule ready data sets, proficiency in SQL and experience with Oracle database management
• ·Proven experience and subject matter expertise within the requirements / defect management tools (like JIRA), source code management tools (like GitHub, bit bucket), Change management Tools (like ServiceNow), build and Release management Tools (Jenkins, Maven), experience with batch job Scheduling (Autosys JIL) etc.
• ·8+ years of experience in development of AB Initio (GDE, EME, Express>It) ETL
• ·Previous experience producing written deliverable for technical designs is Good to have. 
• ·Very good understanding of software development life cycle and Release Management
• ·Ability to design, organize, and implement module, perform system testing, plan and automate tasks to maintain existing system
• ·Ability to research and trouble-shoot application problems
• ·Highly motivated team player, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• ·Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team to develop solutions
• ·Very Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• ·Good experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
• ·Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• ·Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• ·Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• ·Fluent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
