Job Overview
The Lending Applications Technology and Release Management Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing release governance, delivery execution, and production readiness across the Lending technology landscape. This role partners closely with Development, QA, Infrastructure, Operations, and Business stakeholders to manage application releases, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the smooth and controlled implementation of technology changes that support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex production issues, defects, and service requests across Lending applications, LoanIQ, and associated integrations.
Lead L3 support activities, driving root cause analysis, problem management, and resolution of critical incidents to ensure platform stability and business continuity.
Investigate and resolve complex data, interface, and integration issues between LoanIQ and upstream/downstream systems, ensuring data integrity and seamless transaction processing.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and management to identify system enhancements, process improvements, and support strategic lending initiatives.
Own and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle for Lending applications, including release planning, scheduling, dependency management, deployment coordination, and post-release validation.
Coordinate closely with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to ensure all release prerequisites, testing requirements, and deployment activities are completed successfully.
Oversee the deployment of application releases, patches, hotfixes, configuration changes, and platform upgrades while minimizing operational and business risks.
Assess release readiness, identify potential risks and impacts, and develop mitigation and rollback strategies to ensure successful implementation.
Govern and enforce change management processes, ensuring all releases are properly documented, reviewed, tested, approved, and compliant with organizational standards.
Provide hyper care and post-release support, proactively monitoring application performance and rapidly addressing any production issues to maintain service stability.
Lead incident review and continual service improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence and reducing recurring production issues.
Manage stakeholder communication during major incidents and releases, providing timely updates on progress, risks, resolutions, and overall service health.
Recommended Qualifications:
10+ years of hands-on experience in application development, coupled with demonstrated expertise in release management methodologies and best practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in Java
Having Lending business knowledge is preferable
Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
