Job Overview

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices usingScala.
• Build and manageKafkapublishers and subscribers for real-time data streaming.
• Develop and optimize batch jobs for data processing and automation.
• Performgraph data modelingusingNeo4jto support application requirements and enhance system performance.
• Deploy components on Citi's internal Cloud infrastructure and Linux machines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand, challenge, and refine requirements.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency inScalaprogramming language.
• Hands-on experience developing microservices in Scala.
• Solid experience withApache Kafkafor real-time, event-driven data streaming.
• Strong working knowledge ofNeo4j— graph data modeling, Cypher queries, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding ofdistributed systemsandevent-driven architectures.
• Experience deploying applications on Cloud platforms and Linux environments.
• Proven ability to produce well-tested, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and challenge requirements effectively.

Recommended Qualifications:

• 8-12 years of relevant experience
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
