We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President - IA Agility - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Vice President - C13) based in Mumbai, India. Role Overview:

The Audit Manager will support the IA Agility Team. This role is responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of Citi’s internal audit function by maintaining a deep understanding of innovative and agile ways of working and supporting the global IA team in accordance with IA standards, Citi policies, and applicable regulations. The individual is expected to work in collaboration with IA stakeholders in the execution of improvements to Citi’s IA ways of working, leveraging agility to enable achievement of internal audit’s purpose.

What you will do

  • In this role, you will identify opportunities to improve Citi IA practices to further enhance and streamline to deliver greater value, strengthen client relationships, and increase adaptability.

  • You will support the internal audit function through assisting in developing and delivering training, workshops, pilots, coaching, and consulting to set the function up for success in achieving our purpose through auditing with agility.

  • In this role, you will operate independently as a trusted partner across audit teams, influencing and motivating others to adopt an agility mindset and supporting practices, understanding their perspective and concerns and addressing them with minimal assistance, providing advice and guidance, holding teams accountable for effective adoption of selected agility practices in pursuit of desired outcomes, and proactively forming and maintaining partnerships within IA. 

  • As part of your day-to-day activities, you will support scaled rollout of agility across the IA department and post-rollout business-as-usual activities.

  • During the scaled rollout of agility, you will upskill and provide guidance to agility coaches from other audit teams as they provide extensive support on individual audits; attend specific audit meetings, observe agility in practice and provide feedback; facilitate regular meetings to encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing; work with IA leaders to facilitate sustainable adoption of agility practices.

  • You will also partner with other teams within IA (e.g., Methodology, Strategy and Change Management, Communications, Learning and Development etc.) to identify dependencies, overlap, hand-offs, and opportunities to coordinate to ensure appropriate involvement as necessary for success and to avoid duplicative efforts.

  • You will act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement of IA ways of working to support a best-in-class audit function, including continuously enhancing the IA agility program.

  • Take proactive ownership of work

  • You may also collaborate across teams to assist the broader strategy team as needed.

What we will need from you

  • Previous experience within Internal Audit

  • Previous experience managing and delivering end to end audit.

  • A mindset of agility, i.e., a change mindset of proactively delivering value through collaboration, learning, and adapting

  • Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA) preferred

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to influence others to implement creative solutions

  • Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Previous experience managing and delivering end to end audit.

  • A mindset of agility, i.e., a change mindset of proactively delivering value through collaboration, learning, and adapting

  • Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA) preferred

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, as well as negotiation skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Effective influencing and relationship/stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to operate with limited supervision to execute end-to-end projects or initiatives, and exercise a significant degree of autonomy and professional judgement when facing challenges

  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise/lead and able to direct and coach others within that capacity

  • Ability to navigate the organization structure/hierarchy to solve complex problems with ambiguous circumstances and proactively address blockers

  • Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams

  • Ability to effectively challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing priorities and meet deadlines

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
