Job Overview

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Data Domain Execution Lead Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the organization's data governance strategy. This includes spearheading initiatives related to performing lineage assessment, Critical data element (CDE) identification, logging of all the relevant CDEs in the centralized Data Catalog tool, identification of data quality rules and adhering to Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP). Furthermore, this position is critical in driving the implementation of the Data Governance Policy and Data Risk and Control Framework. Success in this role requires exceptional communication and negotiation skills, particularly at the senior leadership level. The Lead Analyst will leverage highly developed communication and diplomatic abilities to guide and influence stakeholders across various departments. This role requires interaction with stakeholders across the Data Program as well as with Technology team and to translate the business requirements for development purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive comprehensive business analysis, encompassing understanding the endpoint (report or process) to be governed by CDGP, perform analysis, review, decomposition of ITESS/Tableau ultimately generating the end point documentation, communication of critical business needs and requirements. Align these requirements with Enterprise Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Control standards to foster the development of appropriate and effective solutions.
  • Contribute significantly to the establishment of Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Control standards, ensuring strict alignment with the Enterprise Chief Data Office's directives and meticulous documentation of all processes.
  • Ability to decompose the end points, ITESS/Tableau objects, decipher and document the transformation logic and the critical data elements which feed into the end point values, define data quality rules for the CDEs and identify the Authorized data store for the CDEs.
  • Update and maintain the CDEs in the Enterprise-wide data tool- Data Catalog and ability to generate management reporting for decision making.
  • Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in data policies, providing critical support and guidance to key Data Transformation projects across the organization.
  • Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly
  • Foster and maintain relationships with business and tech stakeholders, support, testing and adopt to the dynamic data landscape.
  • Providing implementation / post-implementation project support
  • Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.
  • Recommended Qualifications:
  • 8+ years' experience preferably in Banking/Finance industry within Data Governance, Data Management, Data Lineage & Process Mapping or related areas.
  • Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter
  • Must work well under pressure whilst, enthusiastic, hard-working and positive
  • Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all level
  • Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
  • Ability to quickly grasp and understand new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge
  • Experience of working with Agile Methodologies and Data Documentation best practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
