Citi’s Risk Management organization oversees risk-taking activities and assesses risks and issues independently of the front-line units. We establish and maintain the enterprise risk management framework that ensures the ability to consistently identify, measure, monitor, control and report material aggregate risks.
We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as 2LOD Portfolio Risk Credit Officer, Vice President (Internal Job Title): as 2LOD Portfolio Risk Credit Officer, Vice President - C13 based in Mumbai, India. Citi’s global network spans over 90 countries and jurisdictions with on-the-ground presence, providing clients with Trade Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) around the globe. TWCS provides a range of trade and working capital solutions to corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations. Its global platform is unique in the industry for its global reach and flexibility.
Trade Risk is part of Services Risk organization, which encompasses Trade, Payments, Liquidity Management Services, and Investor & Issuer Services Risk. Services Risk is a group within Banking & International Risk (BIR), reporting to the BIR CRO. The group is organized primarily along product lines, with cluster representation in support of the overall product focused approach. Its staff is a mix of credit and product risk specialists. Teams are located in the US, UK, Ireland, Singapore, Hong Kong, and India.
The Portfolio Risk Credit Officer supports the Trade Risk senior management in providing independent second line risk oversight over the Trade portfolio. The successful candidate for this role is accountable for maintaining Citi’s principles of risk management, and standards on controls and processes, and providing effective review and challenge on trade solutions and various business initiatives, including engagement in Digital and Artificial Intelligence related initiatives
In this role, you’re expected to :
- Maintain Policies, Standards, and Procedure documents for Trade Risk and align requirements contained within Business owned Operating Manuals, Product Approval Programs and local country addendums
- Champion productivity/process enhancement, engage with product teams and other stakeholders (regional or global) and leverage AI and other productivity enhancing tools
- Partner with the business in the management of the portfolio, including forward-looking credit view integrating macroeconomic indicators, geopolitical trends and industry-specific forecasts to proactively identify and mitigate systemic risks to the portfolio
- Review Digital Asset initiatives in Trade Working Capital Solutions when they arise and engage with relevant subject matter experts and relevant stakeholders
- Act as first level reviewer for Cluster Deal Reviews, review and challenge of the appropriateness of trade facilities and transaction approvals
- Support Trade Risk SCOs in the review and challenge of the appropriateness of structured deals in Global Deal Review and Export Agency Finance.
- Perform deep-driving concentration reviews and event-driven analysis and support senior management in presentations of stress test outcomes.
- Track the Cost of Credit for the Asia Trade portfolio, coordinate with product managers and finance to understand and estimate cost of credit impact of specific transactions.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- 10+ years of relevant experience, background in trade structuring and digital assets/AI is a plus
- Self–motivated and able to work independently to effectively produce high quality results
- Proactive, detail oriented, analytical and ability to exercise sound, timely and independent judgement
- Adept at problem-solving with thoughtful follow-through until execution
- Strong interpersonal skills and capable of influencing various stakeholders
- Articulate, with excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree, master’s degree preferred
