Job Overview
The Regulatory Control Modelling Development Lead is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a Control development team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications for systems analysis, programming activities, coordination, and delivery among teams.
Job Purpose:
Market Business Control Technology (MBCT) is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the Regulatory Control development team in Mississauga to support the Markets Business. This role will require extensive development using Java, Microservices, Containerization, OpenShift, Apache Flink, and Big Data technology. Candidate will be heavily involved with the design and implementation of strategic Regulatory systems for Market Business Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a large development team in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment, teamwork and collaboration. The ability to work in high pressured environment is essential.

Market Business Control Technology (MBCT) is a Markets wide group to develop and deliver X-Markets Strategic Control and Monitoring solution to improve the safety and soundness of Markets Businesses. The group provides cutting edge technology to maximize control coverage, reduce time-to-market by developing and delivering strategic control solutions.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Goal, Client and deadline oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with globally distributed teams
- Understanding of secondary market trading life cycle is a plus
- Experience in booking control is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Lead a growing local Control Development team
- Collaborate with Business Analysis team on Control development use cases and data requirement and dependency for control implementations
- Workwithbusiness stake holders, global tech leadsand architectdirectlyto deliver sound tech solutions
- Cater to the requirements from both business as well as technology clients - offering timely solutions, developing, testing, and implementing these solutions
- Support and enhance the existing infrastructure across a variety of technologies (Java, .Net, Angular, RBDMS, Distributed Databases, SOA, Distributed Grid Computing, ECS)
- Support the application for critical business flows such as pre-trade control, control execution, design and development required control implementation framework.
- Participate in the rebuilding of the platform
- Provide innovative implementations for technical data management and business data availability requirements
- Balance fast time to market (client delivery) with proper governance, compliance, and audit mandates

- Front Office Trade Capture Systems Technology Teams
- Dependent Technology teams (Trade, Risk and Shared Services)
- Regulatory Reform and Internal Audit Team
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
