Citibank, N.A. seeks a Vice President, Business Analytics Lead Analyst for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Strategic development and execution of advanced analytics for the Citi US Consumer Cards Retention program, encompassing both Account Retention and Pre-emptive Retention. Perform data analysis to identify customer behavior patterns across Phones, Digital, and Email channels, translating insights into targeted omni-channel marketing recommendations. Project management to build consensus and to maximize revenue and optimize portfolio value within the credit card business. Design, implement, and evaluate experimental designs, including A/B tests, partial-factorial, and full-factorial experimental designs, for testing new offers, products, strategies, and Existing Customer Management (ECM) initiatives. Provide actionable insights to continuously refine and recommend future offerings and strategies across all retention channels. Manage advanced segmentation and targeting models for credit card retention campaigns. Establish robust forecasting and performance measurement methodologies to predict and track impact. Formulate and present data-backed recommendations for future enhancements, strategic business opportunities, and operational policy adjustments for credit card retention. Identify attrition risks and the development of strategies to mitigate them. Translate complex analytical outputs into actionable credit card customer behavioral insights, and communicate findings to senior leadership. Collaborate closely with modeling team, providing business expertise on using advanced Machine Learning techniques. Work with relevant metrics for monitoring, validation, and optimization of predictive models. Drive continuous innovation in credit card retention analytics by actively researching, evaluating, and integrating cutting-edge data sources, advanced analytical tools, and technological capabilities to enhance the strategic efficacy and operational efficiency of retention programs. Lead the acquisition, integration, and analysis of diverse operational data sets from various internal and external sources to conduct comprehensive exploratory and confirmatory data analysis, providing insights into historical credit card portfolio performance and future retention opportunities. Ensure strict adherence to Control & Compliance frameworks including Model Risk Management (MRM), End User Computing (EUC), and Legal & Fair Lending guidelines. Meet audit and control requirements pertaining to credit card retention analytics, data governance, and program execution. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering (any), Business Analytics or related field and 1 year of experience as a Credit Portfolio Senior Analyst, or related position involving analyzing data to monitor profitability, optimize revenue and costs for credit cards. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 3 years of the specified experience. Full span of experience must include: PySpark and HIVE within distributed computing environments, including EAP, for data manipulation, feature engineering, and statistical modeling for credit card transactional and behavioral data; SAS programming for data extraction from Teradata warehouses; Data transformations and developing predictive models for credit card revenue forecasting and credit card retention propensity scoring; SQL for query development, data extraction, and ad-hoc analysis from large-scale relational databases including Teradata; Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis for credit card portfolios; Developing comprehensive simulation scenarios to optimize portfolio performance; Data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau; Presenting to senior leadership; and BASH scripting, Excel and VBA macros.
