The Lead Business Analyst / Project Manager (BAPM) is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of Program/Portfolio Management within Capital Markets Technology & Regulatory domain. The main objective of this role is to deliver high visibility programs across all Capital Markets Asset Groups and business lines. Responsibilities include liaising between senior front-office business stakeholders and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way in coordination with the Wealth Technology team. In this fast-paced environment, you must be able to prioritize tasks, work within tight deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to details. You will need to employ strong oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Define program scope and objectives, gather, analyze, validate, and manage program and project requirements.
- Drive the creation of clear requirements documents using a structured analysis methodology.
- Liaise with D & MD-level stakeholders within the technology and business teams across Wealth / Capital Markets to create an overall delivery plan.
- Support the technical leads in the planning, tracking and execution of the Regulatory deliverables and commitments.
- Support and report on the project progress using the standard templates and tools available.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills is essential to effectively communicate issues, risks, and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders.
- Has the confidence and ability to convincingly structure, summarize, defend, and present recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Define functional & non-functional requirements through partnership with decision makers, systems owners, and end users.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
- Analyze business processes, gaps in capabilities, as well as appropriate data sources, interfaces and process changes required to address capability gaps.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Knowledge/Experience
- Experience of working as Senior BA / PM in a Front Office Function is essential including project planning, tracking, delivery, and reporting.
- Knowledge of the regulatory domain including Dodd-Frank framework & MIFID applicability to markets products.
- Proven delivery experience collaborating with senior stakeholders in a Banking/Financial services industry including knowledge of front-to-back trade flow processing and a broad range of investment banking products and trade lifecycles.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
- Proven interpersonal, diplomatic, and influencing skills.
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile development methodologies including tools such as Jira & Confluence
Education:
- University Degree or equivalent experience in a similar role
