Job Overview
USPB In-Business Credit and Franchise Risk team serves as 1st line of defense for USBP businesses with more than 1,600 employees and contract workers primarily in US and India. The Business Execution team is responsible for the group’s ongoing planning, administrative, organizational and development activities.
We are looking for a candidate to join the Business Execution team to support the financial management of the team's costs and related processes within our team, as well as contributing as a key resource to streamline and automate processes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze budgetary/accounting data and provide financial updates
- Collect, review and consolidate requests for Business Head spend review and approval
- Review budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with procedures and regulations
- Support timely updates for periodic forecasts and annual plan process
- Provide subject matter expertise to help teams understand their costs and process to request funding approvals.
- Gather and verify supporting details for vendor related costs and adhoc analysis
- Support the month end close and accrual process, identify variances and develop commentary.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of business analysis experience required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of expense recognition accounting policies, including accruals and prepaids
- Detail oriented, curious by nature, and strategic thinker that can prioritize and multi-task between the multiple priorities
- Comfortable to function effectively in fast paced environment - agile to pick up critical tasks and deliver within critical timelines
- Acts as a change agent – identify process gaps, trends or anomalies and recommend improvements to existing practices
- Communication & Influence: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in Financial reports, Expense management, P2P
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
