Team / Role Overview:

ICBS is a global service organization that provides a variety of core products and services to the business. These comprise of:

  • Archiving,
  • Mail & Distribution,
  • Managed Print Services,
  • Office Supplies & Stationery,
  • Marketing & Transactional Print,
  • Global Travel,
  • Corporate Card Program,
  • Vehicle Program.

The role is responsible for the operational implementation and execution for one or more of the BTSS’ core and non-core products. This requires close co-ordination with the relevant regional SME’s and Country Heads.

What you’ll do:

Strategy:

  • Development and execution of the ICBS product strategy and operational delivery of ICBS services in conjunction with the Sub-Cluster and Cluster Heads, and various regional functions as well as in country business management.
  • Identification, development and implementation of ICBS initiatives which reduce cost, add value, increase controls, enhance performance and deliver shareholder value for in country services.
  • Ensuring compliance with global and regional functional policies, procedures and programs whilst meeting local requirements and execution of local procedures as per country regulatory requirements as applicable.

Financial Management:

  • Rigorous financial management and influence of direct and indirect spend.  Identification and sustained delivery of cost efficiencies.
  • Direct participation and/or coordination of important and complex projects of the department 
  • Adhere and meet country financial budget
  • Periodic budget, cost variance review and monitoring

Operations Management:

  • Ensure efficient delivery of ICBS services in country
  • Conduct regular review of ICBS processes against policy and regulatory requirements 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal clients
  • Responsible for local daily operational ICBS core services
  • Management of operational risk and control utilising key performance indicators and Service Excellence and Continuous Process Improvement techniques
  • Ensure and maintain good relationships and cooperation with peers, other local or regional units, top management, vendors and partners
  • Actively participate in ICBS country meetings and calls regional meetings and calls where required and other applicable ICBS products activities.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders on requirements and expectations on ICBS performance
  • Participation on regular Third-party meetings
  • Act as backup to other Country Managers during annual leave periods / as and when required and effectively manage the team during these periods
  • Seek best practices within regional/global teams and share with the local team
  • Escalation of issues as appropriate
  • Act as BAO (Business Activity Owner)

What we’ll need from you:

  • Minimum 15 years post-graduation experience (with at least 10 years in banking). Candidates who are close to meeting this requirement may be considered
  • Three years as Senior Manager with experience in at least 3 three (3) major areas of banking operations.
  • Operational experience in at least one of In Country Business Services core products and service delivery
  • Knowledge & clear understanding of In Country Business Services products, services, strategy and points of escalation
  • Execution of In Country Business Services strategy in line with directives provided by Regional, Global and Product leads
  • Knowledge of market/industry trends
  • Extensive Vendor Management experience
  • Identify & leverage best practices for continuous process improvements & re-engineering
  • Strong reporting experience & skills
  • Experience in expense management & cost reduction
  • Experience of risk & control requirements in a banking environment
  • Strong customer service delivery background
  • Bachelor’s degree.
