Job Overview
The KYC Operations Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting activities in coordination with the Compliance and Control team. The overall objective of this role is to develop and manage a dedicated internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi.
The KYC Premium Client Executive (PCE) is an intermediate-level professional responsible for managing end-to-end Know Your Customer (KYC) activities for premium SMB and Commercial Banking clients, including onboarding, periodic reviews, remediation, and regulatory compliance, while partnering with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless client experience, mitigate risk, and ensure adherence to Citi’s AML/KYC policies and standards
Responsibilities
- KYC professional, focus on the core responsibilities, client interaction, and compliance ownership:
- Manage end-to-end KYC activities for premium SMB/CCB clients, including onboarding, periodic reviews, trigger events, modifications, and remediation cases.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, Business, and Operations teams to ensure timely completion of KYC requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Review, validate, and analyze client documentation and data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to AML/KYC standards.
- Monitor and track assigned KYC portfolios, proactively managing risks, escalations, and SLA commitments throughout the case lifecycle.
- Coordinate with global and regional stakeholders to resolve at-risk cases, support client queries, and deliver a seamless client experience.
- Drive operational excellence through accurate case management, documentation, process improvements, and strong compliance governance.
Qualification
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Banking Operations, KYC, AML, Client Onboarding, or related functions.
- Experience supporting account opening, KYC reviews, and regulatory due diligence processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Must have:
- Working knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
Good to Have
- Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai, or Vietnamese.
- Experience working with global stakeholders and regional teams.
- Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to identify process improvement opportunities through technology and automation.
Working Arrangement
- Normal working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days per week in office.
- Follows Malaysia public holidays.
