Job Overview
Join Citi's Wealth business in Hong Kong as a Wealth Banking Associate within the Citigold Private Client segment, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service and operational support to some of the world's most demanding wealth clients. This role sits at the heart of a team that serves clients across the full wealth spectrum — from affluent individuals to ultra-high net worth families — providing expert investment solutions, deposits, and lending platforms. You will coordinate across multiple functions to ensure seamless client service delivery and contribute directly to the performance and integrity of a world-class wealth management operation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate across multiple sales support functions to ensure wealth banking partners can meet client requirements efficiently and without disruption.
- Resolve sales-related issues of varying complexity by drawing on established procedures and sound professional judgement, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes.
- Monitor operational controls in line with regulatory and reporting standards, maintaining the integrity of day-to-day processes.
- Administer access tools and sales platforms, and manage overflow from digital self-service channels to maintain consistent service levels.
- Support the client service process to uphold quality standards at every client touchpoint, contributing to a positive and professional client experience.
- Maintain secure and accurate management of client files and records throughout operational hours.
- Identify and recommend process improvements that increase team productivity within established operational parameters.
- Assess risk considerations in day-to-day decisions, ensuring all actions comply with applicable regulations, firm policies, and ethical standards, and escalating control concerns with transparency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Holds a High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Brings 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a banking, financial services, or client-facing operational environment.
- Holds valid IIQE Papers 1 and 3 and HKSI Papers 1, 7, and 8 certifications, which are mandatory for this role.
- Communicates clearly and concisely in both written and spoken form, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and with clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working across digital tools and platforms.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of financial services industry practices and operational standards.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in branch banking operations or a service delivery environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with wealth management products and client service processes within a private banking or premium banking setting.
- Exposure to digital self-service tools and client access media administration within a regulated financial institution.
This position falls under the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme, a standardised reference-checking arrangement that is designed to support the integrity of authorized institutions regulated by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. The MRC Scheme requires an in-scope institution intending to hire an individual for certain relevant positions to conduct a mandatory reference check on that individual, by requesting information about them from each relevant former and current employer.
