We are seeking a visionaryTechnical Director to head the Services Digital Platforms Information Reporting - Investor Servicesto lead this critical transformation. This highly visible role will define and drive the architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for our digital securities information reporting platforms. You will manage multiple high-performing engineering teams, fostering strong partnerships across business units and technology stakeholders to deliver state-of-the-art solutions that empower our corporate clients. A deep understanding of the financial industry, competitive landscape, and commercial objectives is essential to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Strategy
Architectural Vision:Define and champion the long-term architectural vision and roadmap for Digital Reporting Platforms, aligning with the overall TTS technology strategy.
Platform Modernization:Lead the successful migration of legacy systems to a modern, cloud-native, microservices-based architecture.
Design & Development Oversight:Drive the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable, and high-quality reporting, analytics, and search solutions.
Technical Excellence:Instill best practices in software development, architectural patterns, and engineering processes across teams, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and performance.
Innovation:Research and integrate emerging technologies, including Generative AI and NLP, to enhance platform capabilities and user experience.
Team Leadership & Management
Build & Grow Teams:Lead, mentor, and develop multiple diverse engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Performance Management:Oversee all aspects of personnel management, including hiring, performance evaluations, compensation, and career development.
Resource Optimization:Structure teams and allocate resources efficiently to maximize impact and align with strategic business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Strategic Communication:Prepare and present regular project and team reviews to senior management and business leaders, communicating technical strategy and progress effectively.
Partnership:Collaborate extensively with product owners, business stakeholders, and other technology leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Client Focus:Work closely with end-users to understand their needs and continuously enhance the quality and relevance of deliverables.
Operational Excellence & Governance
Budget & Planning:Manage the financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for the platform area, contributing to future strategic direction.
Risk & Compliance:Ensure adherence to Citi's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, driving accountability and transparently managing control issues.
Operational Resilience:Oversee disaster recovery planning, testing, and approval processes for new applications to ensure continuous service availability.
Process Improvement:Contribute to defining and implementing departmental best practices and processes, ensuring transparency and consistency.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and technology leadership, with a significant focus on large-scale enterprise platforms.
8-10+ years of senior managerial experience, leading multiple engineering teams and managing budgets.
Proven track record of successfully leading major transformations from legacy systems to cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
Deep expertise in designing and implementing Business Intelligence, Enterprise Reporting, and Search solutions, preferably within financial services.
Hands-on technical acumen with a problem-solver mindset, capable of diving into technical details to guide teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Solid understanding of the financial industry, including competitive products and services, with the ability to align technology strategy with commercial objectives.
Demonstrated leadership in managing change, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance within a regulated environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI technologies.
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design principles and implementation.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred.

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
