We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic IT Business Lead Analyst to join our Technology team. This senior-level position is responsible for liaising between business users and technologists, exchanging information in a concise, logical, and understandable way. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contributing to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning. This individual will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable platforms.

Responsibilities:


Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives, and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects. Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives.
Solutioning & Strategic Planning: Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements, recommending appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems, and industry standards. Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic functional decisions.
Data Analysis & Quality Management: Understand data quality issues aligned with data sets, including end-to-end data flows and controls, and ensure these are addressed in the defined target state solution with robust controls. Provide meaningful insight on data analysis performed to support timely decision-making.
Collaboration & Project Delivery: Work closely with stakeholders and technology partners throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Lead/participate in working groups/scrums to manage the delivery within agreed timeline(s). Identify issues and collaborate with stakeholders to agree solutions that can be delivered across asset classes.
Risk & Control Management: Identify and communicate risks and impacts, propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Perform control gap assessments and identify enhancements needed. Promote a strong risk and control culture and escalate concerns to senior leadership.
Mentorship & Leadership: Supervise day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management, work allocation, mentoring/coaching and other duties. This role requires general management skills, leadership abilities, and administrative experience.
Stakeholder Communication & Management: Effectively communicate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical, fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders. Prepare formal update communications to senior management, governance forums, and external regulators. Work with the wider product team and end users to deliver updates and status reports and actively participate in all scrum activities and product sprints.
Industry & Regulatory Awareness: Articulation of best practice and industry standards and application of these to the Citi business model and infrastructure. Influence strategic direction and provide feedback with respect to initiative or program creation, alignment to business goals, stakeholder management, and executive communications.

Qualifications:
6-10 years of progressive experience.
Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
Proven track record in requirement gathering, business analysis, and solution design for complex IT applications.

Domain Expertise:
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis.
Understanding of relevant financial products and risk management concepts.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis.
Strong data analysis skills.

Soft Skills:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership abilities, capable of managing and leading diverse activities and building ties with other business teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
