Costing Operation Lead Analyst need to understand the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of Technology Infrastructure products, review and adjust our cost modelling, review inventory accuracy, ensure financial transparency. Collaborating with Product Stakeholders/Leads and Engineers, our cost, pricing, and billing strategies should be defensible based on the Total Cost of Ownership and help influence the right adoption/consumption aligned with our service roadmap/strategy.

The Costing Operations team will need to work closely with CTI Product Management and Service Leads, to drive strong governance and alignment for product financial processes. Managing Pricing of Products as part of 4Ps (Product Roadmap, Placement, Promotion and Pricing). This incorporates rate setting, facilitation of TCO sign off, customer impact and communication plan, tooling, cost model administration and advisory support.  For a given product area(s), they will also monitor billing inventory, deliver optimization reporting and deal with ad-hoc queries and requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review expenses mapping and accuracy, to assure accuracy of product TCO
  • Design and review complex cost modelling, ensure defensible product pricing and comparable in benchmarking exercises
  • Review and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to optimize consumption and expenses
  • Design product billing methodology align with product roadmap/strategy
  • Responsible for identifying all data sources needed and create enhancement opportunities through data-driven insights
  • Review product/service adoption forecast aligned with the roadmap and strategy

Stakeholder Management and People Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between various business service delivery, product manager, and service owner on understanding the TCO, billing methodology, consumption/usage/adoption and technology charges.
  • Directly impact the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams by providing mentoring and training to junior members of the team.
  • Actively contribute towards self-development by creating and following development plans based on discussions with management.
  • Develop strategies to meet business strategy goals and demonstrate in-depth understanding of how Technology Infrastructure integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives.
  • Resolve issues that have impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas.
  • Provide services by using insights from stakeholder/partner relationships, actively seeking information to understand issues, expectations, and needs.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards and recommend reengineering efforts for continuous improvement.
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse range of internal and external sources.
  • Persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills and negotiate with external parties as needed.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Financial acumen with strong analytical skills, understand financial and accounting principle especially Technology Business Management (TBM), and “Expense and Recovery” concepts.

Qualification

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience including cost modeling, expense management, or Technology Business Management (TBM)
  • Experience in financial services or large complex and/or global environment preferred.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication with ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven ability to develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities, and identification of best practices.
  • Proven analytical, detail oriented, diagnostic, and multitasking skills with focus on execution and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to both work independently and partner with virtual teams in a high-pressure matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of various parts of a project/initiative with tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectation/ requirements.
  • Proficiency with Office productivity tools especially Excel and other data analytical tools. Has confidence with analyzing data and producing reports, metrics, and presentations.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
