Job Overview
Citi is looking for a Wealth Credit Specialist to join the Wealth Credit Services (WCS) team within Wealth Credit Management (WCM) — a business line delivering integrated credit underwriting and portfolio management in partnership with Citi's Private Bank and Wealth Management businesses.
In this role, you will produce critical management and control reporting, drive data quality initiatives, and lead strategic projects that directly shape how senior leaders monitor and manage the EMEA Wealth lending portfolio.
This is a high-visibility opportunity to work across a broad network of global stakeholders and gain deep expertise in Wealth lending at one of the world's leading financial institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Produce time-sensitive Control Reports, Portfolio Monitoring Reports, and KRI/KPI metrics used by senior Portfolio and Product managers to oversee the Wealth Credit portfolio.
- Coordinate with Underwriting, Technology, Operations, Risk Management, Data Governance, Finance, and Regulatory Reporting teams to develop, implement, and execute reporting requirements end-to-end.
- Validate, aggregate, and deliver data required for regulatory reporting submissions and data quality processes, resolving issues with speed and precision.
- Manage data requests in support of internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and data tracing exercises across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Design and build complex dashboards and automated reporting solutions using BI tools in collaboration with Technology and Infrastructure teams, including leading user acceptance testing.
- Identify and implement process improvements that streamline and standardize reporting workflows, optimizing controls and operational efficiency.
- Lead and contribute to strategic projects, working groups, and governance forums, representing the Wealth Credit Services team on reporting and data matters.
- Draft and maintain procedures, standards, and controls documentation to ensure reporting processes remain robust, well-governed, and audit-ready.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Solid knowledge of lending products and credit risk concepts, gained within a financial services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to construct insightful management reports, executive dashboards, and portfolio metrics using advanced Excel and BI tools, working with large and complex datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and programming languages used in data analysis, including Python, SQL, and VBA, alongside PowerPoint and Word.
- Advanced skills in BI visualization and reporting tools, specifically Tableau and COGNOS, to deliver clear and actionable data presentations.
- Experience leading strategic projects — such as data remediation efforts or regulatory initiatives — within a large financial institution.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift frequently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive resolution independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, with excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Master's degree preferred.
