We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Travel Manager for Asia Cluster(Internal Job Title: Ops Support Lead Analyst, C13 (based in Chenai, India)

The Travel Operations Manager will be responsible for the operational delivery of Citi’s global travel program, travel services and the overall performance of the appointed Travel Management Company (TMC) to ensure high-quality and compliant travel program services in alignment with Citi’s Global Travel strategy and business objectives. This includes but is not limited to service implementation oversight, project management, third-party travel operations, risk and compliance management and financial settlement accuracy. Further responsibilities include the management of regional supplier relationships with Air and Hotel suppliers in the cluster geographies.
In this role, you’re expected to:
Support and manage the Global Travel Program delivery within Asia Pacific (APAC) geographies.
Ensure best practice, operational efficiency and best in class travel services to deliver a seamless and enhanced employee experience.
Support Global Travel team to ensure successful delivery of global travel projects, process enhancements, risk and control initiatives and technology implementations.
Continuously review the delivery of the travel services program, to ensure the program evolves and develops to meet overall strategic and travel efficiency requirements.
Travel Management Company:
Oversee appointed Travel Management Company (TMC) travel operations across APAC geographies with regard to overall service delivery and consistency.
Assist and partner with TMC to ensure customer service impasse resolution.
Collaborate, drive and own ongoing TMC communication to ensure successful implementation of Global Travel initiatives and travel services.
Support and manage TMC operational projects and process improvements to ensure operational efficiency and service cost optimization.
Global Travel Strategy & Partnerships:
Collaborate closely with the Global Travel team, Business & Travel Shared Services (BTSS) in-country/geography leads as well as other Key Stakeholders on global travel initiatives, strategies, program performance and best practices.
Build and maintain strong relationships with APAC internal stakeholders creating visibility to Global Travel value proposition.
Support business reporting and analysis of overall travel performance, demand management, drive compliance and cost savings.
Citi Preferred Suppliers:
Strongly collaborate with Global Travel’s Air & Hotel Program Leads in maximizing their respective program coverage and relevancy.
Support Citi Preferred Airline and Hotel supplier relationships within APAC geographies.
Work as a partner with the Citi Sourcing commodity leads as well as Global Travel leads in support of the global Travel Management Company (TMC), commercial airline, hotel program RFP’s by providing APAC expertise throughout the process.
Risk & Control:
Help support the identification of potential risks in end-to-end travel operations processes and implement enhanced risk and control measures to mitigate risks and support compliance for, but not limited to, transient employee travel, Roadshow and HR mobility travel operations.
Support and perform Business Activity Owner (BAO) due diligence and ongoing monitoring activities, including but not limited to all required Third Party Utility (TPU) activities system updates as well as global BAO assignment and projects.
Financial Performance:
Support the management of supplier’s adherence to contracted agency fees and charges.
Monitor and validate achievement Service Delivery Achievement (SLA) targets in regard to service productivity and reservation accuracy.
Conduct monthly Travel Management Company (TMC) Service Level and Financial back up files audits to ensure financial settlement accuracy.
Qualifications:
Strong and relevant experience in Travel Management
Strategic Operations Effectiveness experience
Collaborative Nature to support partnership across multiple stakeholders
Preferably with supplier management exposure
