Job Overview

The Citiblue Portfolio Manager will provide essential support to the UAE Wealth Segments team in overseeing and executing portfolio actions for the Citiblue client segment, Citi’s core banking relationship offering. The role is operational in nature with a strong focus on portfolio governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management, while also requiring strategic thinking to design, enhance, and implement portfolio management processes.

In addition to owning Citiblue portfolio actions, the role will support and contribute to portfolio initiatives across other client segments, including Citigold and Citigold Private Client, ensuring alignment with Citi policies, regulatory expectations, and business strategy. The candidate will work under direct supervision and guidance of the UAE Wealth Segments Team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial services control requirements, operational processes, and a keen analytical mind.

Key Responsibilities

Citiblue Portfolio Management

• Provide support to manage end‑to‑end portfolio actions for the Citiblue client segment in line with Citi policies, regulatory requirements, and internal risk frameworks.
• Execute client portfolio reviews including account maintenance, client segmentation changes, pricing actions, and lifecycle management activities.
• Ensure proactive identification and remediation of portfolio risks, including dormant accounts, documentation gaps, and policy breaches.
• Carry out house keeping tasks of reviewing website content, collateral and other client- facing real estate

Cross‑Segment Portfolio Support

• Support overall portfolio management actions across Citigold and Citigold Private Client segments, ensuring consistency and governance across client tiers.
• Partner with segment owners to execute large‑scale portfolio initiatives and remediation programs where required.

Strategy, Process Design & Implementation

• Provide support to turn business decisions and regulatory changes into actionable portfolio strategies and operational plans.
• Provide support to design or enhance, and document portfolio management processes to improve efficiency, control, and client outcomes.
• Provide support in executing seamless implementation of new processes and portfolio actions, ensuring minimal customer disruption and strong execution discipline.

Data Analytics & Reporting:

• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for enhancing portfolio management, improving policy enforcement, and reducing operational risk.
• Prepare reports on project management and compliance status, for senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Risk, Controls & Governance

• Ensure strict adherence to Citi’s risk and control frameworks, including compliance, AML, KYC, and data governance standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to Citi’s control frameworks by executing portfolio actions in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and documented procedures, with clear accountability and governance.
• Proactively identify control gaps and operational risks, partnering with Risk and Compliance to implement corrective actions, support audits and regulatory reviews, and strengthen portfolio‑level controls.

• Partner closely with BRC teams to manage issues, deliver corrective actions, and support regulatory examinations.
• Own and track portfolio‑related issues, audit findings, and control improvements through timely closure.

Stakeholder & Change Management

• Act as a key liaison between business, operations, Legal, Compliance and other control functions to drive portfolio initiatives.
• Support communication and change management for portfolio actions, ensuring clarity, alignment, and effective execution across teams.
• Contribute to management reporting, portfolio insights, and senior stakeholder updates

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferable but a Bachelor’s degree in business, change management, Project Management, or a related field is also acceptable
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Product teams, Operations, or data analytics, specifically within financial services.
• Exposure to financial services/wealth management processes is encouraged.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring control frameworks and operational policies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights from large datasets; experience with reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex control and policy matters to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
