Within TTS, the Trade Business carries the mantle of being the most complicated, with strong elements of Credit, Risk, Compliance & FX – apart from Core Trade technicalities in terms of Legal requirements and International Trade Guidelines governing Cross-Border Trade.

Job Description

The Cash and Trade Proc Analyst 1 is an intermediate level role responsible for executing complex transactions and participating in complex processes in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to act as a subject matter expert while processing all regular transfers, payments, trade transactions, and wholesale card activity.

Responsibilities:

• Process all regular, restricted and legal transfers; which include processing of payments, receivables, trade transactions, liquidity flows and wholesale card activity
• Ensure transactions are processed efficiently, act as a SME (subject matter expert) and recommend process improvements
• Handle Cash Management Transaction processing in accordance with prescribed standards of banking operational procedures and other applicable guidelines
• Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience and precedent
• Anticipate and respond to requests for deliverables with internal and external clients and vendors
• Contribute to and collaborate with cash & trade operations projects as needed
• Develop comprehension of how the cash & trade operations team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Key Deliverables:

Has in-depth knowledge of the Cash and Trade business Processing of day to day transactions as per local operating procedures. Quick learner; comfortable with and able to manage in complex systems environment and associated development process and ensure service quality is maintained Adhere to internal policies to ensure compliance with legal parameters as well as company policies and procedures, Strong focus on control and compliance Knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to understand how financial transactions affect the operating systems/GL Product expertise – Knowledge of SWIFT and other payment platform would be an added advantage Familiarity with the end-to-end Trade transaction lifecycle Interpersonal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to lead transparently at an advanced level Analytical, and investigations, Problem solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and data entry skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s/Post Graduate University degree or equivalent experience
• Experience: Candidates with 5-8 years of related work experience in Payments Processing, Funds Transfer, Recon, UAT, etc.
