The Operations and Business Management VP is a specialized role within Community Investing and Development (CID), which works to advance economic opportunity through impact investing, employee volunteerism, the philanthropy of the Citi Foundation and fulfillment of regulatory obligations including the Community Reinvestment Act in the U.S. The VP is responsible for the end-to-end operational execution, business management, and performance governance of CID's third-party partner ecosystem. This role will serve as the designated Business Activity Owner (BAO) lead across 8 core third-party platforms, managing heightened operational due diligence and lifecycle workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Third-Party Platform & BAO Governance: Lead end-to-end operational ownership and Business Activity Owner (BAO) execution across 8 core third-party platforms, managing comprehensive operational workflows and elevated due diligence requirements associated with Level 1 critical platforms.

  • Intake & Procurement Lifecycle Management: Steer end-to-end third-party onboarding, contract renewal lifecycles, and statements of work (SOWs) in alignment with Citi's established third-party processes, reducing cycle times and eliminating cross-departmental handoff friction.
  • Technology & Sourcing Integration: Partner closely with Technology leads and Sourcing teams to align technical specifications, business requirements, and integration milestones for third-party platforms.
  • Vendor Performance & SLA Governance: Oversee day-to-day vendor service delivery, establish performance scorecards, track operational SLAs/KPIs, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and partner review cadences.
  • Operational Issue Escalation & Resolution: Identify, analyze, and resolve operational delivery escalations, service disruptions, and contract performance bottlenecks with third-party providers.
  • Executive Briefings & Business Reporting: Provide senior leadership with operational transparency on third-party spend utilization, platform milestones, vendor performance metrics, and audit-ready operational documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in business management, third-party relationship management, vendor operations, technology operations, or strategic sourcing within financial services or complex corporate environments.
  • Third-Party & Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of third-party operational lifecycles, Business Activity Owner (BAO) responsibilities, enterprise procurement processes, and vendor SLA management.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Management: Proven track record of managing cross-functional initiatives across business teams, enterprise sourcing/procurement, technology, and external C-level vendor leadership.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Acumen: Strong capability to filter, prioritize, and validate complex operational information, resolve partner bottlenecks, and present data-driven recommendations.
  • Communication & Diplomacy: Superior written and verbal communication, diplomacy, and negotiation skills required to lead cross-business working groups and executive briefings.
  • AI Fluency & Workflow Innovation: Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise generative AI platforms and digital productivity.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree
  • Master’s/MBA preferred
