Job Overview

The Corporate Banking Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for leading the planning of investment strategies and solutions for major market clients in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The overall objective of this role is to drive revenue by cross selling the Citi platform while efficiently deploying the firm's capital and evaluating and managing risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Senior Corporate Banking Officers and professionals
  • Organize and analyze data in preparation of client proposals
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives
  • Prepare written recommendations and statistical exhibits
  • Conduct economic/financial research and provide financial performance evaluations
  • Participate in projects and assignments as necessary
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Concentrated coursework in Finance, Economics and/or closely related areas
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of Corporate Banking Business
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
  • English and Spanish fluency is required

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

  • Perform annual account plan for each assigned client, identifying wallet size, share of wallet and opportunities to grow.
  • Develop a comprehensive calling plan for the portfolio with KPIs to measure success, pursuing frequent and proactive interactions with clients.
  • Lead cross sell opportunities within the assigned portfolio to generate revenue by identifying and responding to customers´ financial, advisory and transactional needs.
  • Prepare and send client proposals and follow up until implementation is completed.
  • Promote deepening product campaigns and coordinate the offering of the products/services with the respective product areas.
  • Revenue and drivers monitoring and preparation of monthly portfolio review.
  • Ensure revenue and drivers goals accomplishment.
  • Improve client’s overall satisfaction above the defined target.
  • Build and maintain strong and close relationship with country, regional and global GNB (Global Network Banking) teams in order to learn, align and execute the global / regional and local strategy for the clients.
  • Build and maintain strong and close relationship with Product, Operations and other partners in the country.
  • Ensure client’s documentation and information is up to date and complete according to internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote cooperation and a permanent team work environment, and serve as back up for other relationship managers within the area.
  • Propose, lead and proactively execute on business initiatives.
