Transaction Control Analyst is an entry level position responsible for providing analytical and administrative support to securities and valuation related processes and for process efficiency improvements through various projects involvement.

What we do:

Transaction Control is responsible for processing and controlling Capital Markets transactions and ensuring both technical and market validations. The scope of instruments we cover include Equities, Bonds, FXs, Money Markets, Derivatives, Collective Investments like Mutual, Hedge, Private Equity funds. We cooperate with Brokers, Custodian Banks and Transfer Agents from all over the world on global markets (North & Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia and Asia).

Primary Mission: To ensure all financial transactions are accurately, completely, and authentically captured. We act as a central hub, liaising with numerous teams (Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Reconciliations and Static Data Teams or Investment Managers and Custodians) and we play a critical role in the daily NAV calculation.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely booking of transactions executed on investment funds accounts, verifying received instructions in respect of their correctness and completeness;
• Timely preparation and delivery of accounting records and reports (standard and non-standard) to other relevant teams;
• Performing control functions in a process, verifying transactions booked into accounting system and preparation of accounting summaries/reports;
• Cooperation with other teams/divisions in Citi in scope of performed responsibilities;
• Timely answering to standard and most of the non-standard queries related to duties performed, adhering to high standards of business correspondence;
• Meeting the work quality requirements;
• Actively participating in projects on a wider level if needed
• Participating in audits, business meetings, client calls

Requirements:

• For candidates at the beginning of their professional career we require: good English, basic knowledge of financial instruments, being computer literate (especially expertise in the use of MS Outlook and Excel, SQL is an asset), display analytical thinking, good communication and organizational skills, willingness to work in the capital markets and determination to learn.
• For experienced professionals, we require the same plus relevant knowledge supported by your previous work experiences.
