Job Overview
The Investment Compliance Specialist is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the team in providing a high-quality depositary monitoring service to ensure that clients comply with the regulatory rules and in accordance with corporate trusteeship responsibilities.
Maintaining excellent relationships with clients, Fiduciary countries, Fund administrators, third party vendors, communicating with them in a professional, clear and concise manner, meeting all deadlines.
Investigating and validating portfolio managers exceptions / breaches towards UCITS / AIFMD regulations in post trade compliance application.
Clarifying and resolving inconsistencies between data reflected by Citi and supplied by the customer (maker-checker role).
Participating in projects as assigned, demonstrating self-initiative, leading / co-leading certain projects activities.
Timely answering to the standard and non-standard questions related to the duties performed by maintaining an appropriate level of business correspondence.
Conducting operation calls with clients / oversights and performing other business activities delegated by manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Finance sector (experience in Investment Funds or Securities Services will be advantageous)
Knowledge of bank products. Customer communication experience (internal/external). Knowledge on the field of finances and banking.
Flexibility, team spirit, loyalty.
High attention to detail. Good PC skills (Excel, Word).
Advanced in English written and spoken
Be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
