Technology & Cyber Risk: Gen AI Adoption Lead
Join our newly established and dynamic Cyber Risk Team in Warsaw and play a pivotal role in transforming Citi's risk management capabilities through the adoption of Generative AI (GenAI).
The Technology and Cyber Compliance and Operational Risk Office (TCCORO) at Citi is the firm’s reliable second set of eyes. Our mission is to drive comprehensive and consistent practices designed to identify, measure, monitor, report and manage operational and compliance risks while promoting the implementation of actions to address root causes which may lead to unintended operational losses or regulatory breaches. TCCORO provides the specialist subject matter experts to challenge Enterprise, Infrastructure, Operations and Technology entities across the firm. We are the technology and cyber conscience of the bank. In line with the Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) frameworks, we aim to ensure that the internal controls that are designed to mitigate technology and cyber risks are managed, mitigated, and aligned with our risk appetite.
As a Gen AI Adoption Lead within the Risk Analytics & Reporting team, you will be a key driver of innovation within TCCORO. The Risk Analytics & Reporting team is TCCORO’s quantitative analytics engine, leveraging machine learning, in-depth analyses, business process re-engineering/automation, and strategic problem-solving to support executive planning, execution, and data-driven decision-making.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Generative AI expert to:
Design and implement impactful GenAI use cases that enhance client experience, analyst productivity, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of global financial services and a keen interest in risk management and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of GenAI-powered solutions, from design and development to deployment and ongoing optimization, aligning with key business priorities and risk mitigation strategies.
Manage a portfolio of high-impact GenAI initiatives spanning client engagement, advisor support, operations, and risk management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and measurable outcomes.
Collaborate closely with legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure responsible AI development, ethical considerations, and adherence to evolving regulatory expectations.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the business impact of GenAI solutions, monitor adoption rates, and assess model performance, providing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
Stay at the forefront of AI research, monitor the vendor landscape, and track regulatory developments to inform innovation strategy, identify emerging opportunities, and ensure compliance.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance and contribute to the implementation of common data standards, streamlined processes, and integrated technology platforms to support GenAI initiatives.
Support ad-hoc activities for the TCCORO organization, including drafting presentations for senior leadership, coordinating deliverables related to audits and examinations, and maintaining data for executive reporting.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience in financial services, with a minimum of 5 years directly leading AI/ML or data-driven product delivery efforts.
Deep technical expertise in generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), embeddings, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and related techniques, with a strong understanding of their application in enterprise settings.
Proven track record of successfully launching AI products in close collaboration with technology, business, and risk functions, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and deliver tangible results.
Demonstrated experience working with regulatory stakeholders and a solid understanding of ethical AI principles, including fairness, transparency, and accountability.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and influence stakeholders across business lines and functions.
Excellent project management skills, communication, teamwork, people skills and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
Ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, etc.); advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) is strongly preferred.
Relevant certifications in AI, Machine Learning, or related fields are a plus.
