The Reference Data Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional teams and departments in eTrading FX area. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of professional experience (Financial services industry experience is preferred) in managing people
  • Excellent communication skills including strong verbal and writing in business English
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and in possession of hard skills required for function (VBA on advanced level, SQL nice to have)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Experience in FX business in eTrading area, preferable experience in managing operations client services orientated
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Well organized, efficient and able to multitask with accuracy and attention to details

Responsibilities:

  • Compile reports of results which are presented to the wider management team, the Reg Ops Risk and Control Team and form part of our Management Control Assessment (MCA).
  • Maintain a detailed and holistic understanding of the client onboarding eTrading processes while adhering to agreed service levels and leading regular service reviews to ensure service levels have been met.
  • Serve as an advisor to cross-functional teams in identifying potential solutions/opportunities to reduce manual touch points and streamline processes.
  • Build and manage FX operations teams globally.
  • Will work closely with 3rd party data vendors as well as Citi Velocity technology, business partners and other operation units. Understanding of the markets is a must
  • Identify and execute operational, client experience and regulatory projects associated to the Onboarding process. 
  • Utilize well-developed working knowledge of the business & the upstream and downstream influences

Education:

•       Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
