We are looking for a Project Manager (AVP) within Securities Services Operations (SSO) who will contribute to introduction or change of processes and operational work-flows for client driven projects within Fund Accounting business.

This role requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required as much as ability to regularly assume informal/formal leadership role within teams. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. High professionalism is expected on this role since our clients are international investment institutions of global presence on the markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate projects across Operations, in cooperation with our Product, Technology partners and our clients

  • Formulate detailed project plans, analysis of effort, cost and impact on various Citi businesses to ensure timely execution and mitigate potential risks

  • Support in analysis & oversight of proposed system changes to assure smooth projects implementation

  • Build and manage an effective project team

  • Take proactive actions targeted at minimizing and mitigating implementation risk

  • Ensure that all necessary project documentation is maintained and all necessary approvals for the project are obtained

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in Project Management or in operational improvements areas (e.g. Lean, reengineering programs)

  • Very good command of English

  • Proven understanding of PMBOK standard and/or PMP certification is advantageous

  • Experience in driving projects with external clients

  • Experience of working with asset management clients on a variety of investment fund vehicles (e.g. OEICS, Segregated) or Securities Services operations (desirable)

  • An understanding of financial market and eagerness to grasp Operations business
