Team/Role Overview

Citi's Services Onboarding Transformation team is looking for a Client Onboarding Lead Analyst to drive the design and delivery of streamlined, globally consistent client onboarding processes across one of the world's most comprehensive suites of Services solutions. In this role, you will lead transformation programs, manage onboarding readiness for new product launches, and collaborate with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to deliver measurable improvements to the client experience. Your decisions will shape the strategic direction of the onboarding function and directly influence the performance of the wider team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation of onboarding processes and capabilities to establish a global standard for consistent client experience and operational excellence.

  • Manage onboarding readiness for new product launches and enhancements, ensuring all requirements are clearly defined and teams are equipped to deliver from day one.

  • Evaluate new product and enhancement initiatives to ensure alignment with automation objectives and organizational control strategy.

  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings with Product, Technology, and Operations partners to identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation-led solutions.

  • Assess onboarding and operational risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and maintaining a robust control environment.

  • Create, maintain, and govern onboarding materials and training content for new product launches, embedding defined design principles and best practices across global teams.

  • Define and track key performance indicators to measure adoption success and drive continuous improvement across onboarding operations worldwide.

  • Partner with senior business leaders and a globally distributed community to design and implement scalable onboarding solutions that reduce defects and enhance client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 6 or more years of experience in client onboarding, account services, cash and liquidity management, or a related financial services function.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs including change management, process re-engineering, and business analysis.

  • Experience in documentation review, account maintenance, and cash and liquidity product operations, with a clear understanding of end-to-end onboarding requirements.

  • Strong project management capability, including cost management, planning, and the ability to oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Sound knowledge of risk and control frameworks, with the ability to identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation measures without compromising business objectives.

  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, internal partners, and external clients.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or an equivalent field, or commensurate professional experience.

  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken, to a professional business standard.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent program management qualification.

  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process re-engineering certification.

  • Knowledge of Liquidity, Payments, and Receivables products and broader treasury banking solutions.

  • Experience in system testing, rollout management, and technology-enabled process change.
