The role which we are hiring for is a Custody Asset Servicing Senior Analyst.

Team / Role Overview

Citi provides settlement, custody, and asset servicing solutions to investor and intermediary clients through its Global Custodian (ICSD) and its global network of sub-custodians (Domestic Custodians - CSDs). The Custody Asset Servicing Event Capture team focuses on delivering worldwide Corporate Event announcements from ICSDs and CSDs to clients in a timely and high-quality manner. The Event Capture team is seeking a motivated Intermediate Specialist for the EMEA region with a focus on voluntary corporate actions. The ideal candidate will contribute to the global Asset Servicing structure, helping it meet its goals of supporting the Domestic Custody EMEA product. This involves focusing on the quality-driven delivery of our event capture service and contributing ideas to make the process more risk-resilient and standardized.

Working closely with operational readiness, technology, risk, and other operational partners in the Custody chain will give you an opportunity to build your network within Custody, see how large-scale changes are implemented across different locations, and take part in strategic business initiatives.

What you will do:

The Asset Servicing Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Operational Duties

• Applying information from golden sources to operating systems.
• Monitoring and handling exceptions based on experience and knowledge.
• Acting at the right time in line with operational manuals.
• Troubleshooting and resolving operational and technical issues.

Developing Expertise & Guidance:

• Develop your expertise to become a key resource for knowledge in the Corporate Action Event Capture area.
• Provide valuable support to operational readiness teams, management, and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed about technological upgrades within the processing systems and contribute to recommendations for their adoption.
• Participate in UAT testing and analysis of received evidence for technological upgrades.
  

Knowledge Sharing:

• Assist in training junior staff, fostering skill development and helping to elevate the team's overall competency.
• Contribute to the development of operational and technical training materials and documentation to share knowledge within the team.
• Help maintain best practices, standards, and guidelines for the specified domain.
  

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including internal clients, product management, operational readiness, and business units, to ensure successful process execution.
• Work with internal and external teams, representing the team in operational discussions.
  

Risk Management & Quality Assurance:

• Assist in identifying potential operational risks and challenges.
• Ensure that all processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
  

What we'll need from you:

• A good understanding of financial instruments (experience with Corporate Action Asset Servicing is a plus).
• Solid operational experience.
• A background in operating across multiple operating systems.
• The ability to review documentation, such as prospectuses and circulars, and extract key information.
• The ability to compose clear, customer-friendly summaries of actions and important information from reviewed documentation.
• The ability to analyse processes and identify inherent risks.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A strong team player and a self-starter.
• Creative and resourceful problem-solving skills.
• Experience with process monitoring and oversight.
• Project management and implementation skills are a plus.

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
