The Asset Servicing Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. The role requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business, evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, process, and reconcile client account positions, notifications, and postings related to mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions
- Serve as the primary contact for Prime Broker and Prime Finance clients, providing expert guidance on the life-cycle of voluntary and mandatory events across multiple products, including equities (cash and swaps) and Fixed Income
- Research, interpret, and resolve complex inquiries and ad-hoc requests from domestic and international clients and trading desks, crafting robust communications (including spreadsheets) to deliver effective solutions
- Lead and participate in client conference calls and in-person meetings to maintain strong relationships, address service requirements, and discuss event details
- Coordinate and hold meetings with international and US Custodians and Transfer Agents to facilitate accurate event processing, clarify event information, and resolve discrepancies
- Partner with internal teams across the business to ensure seamless service delivery and operational alignment for Prime Broker clients
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate operational risks to the business, while ensuring timely action and prompt escalation of control issues
- Act as a mentor and advisor to new and junior staff
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in financial services, specifically focused on processing, reconciling, and managing domestic and international Corporate Actions, Proxy, Dividend and Interest events
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in English
- Deep understanding of the life-cycle of voluntary and mandatory corporate events across multiple financial instruments, including equities (cash and swaps/derivatives) and Fixed Income products
- Proven track record of serving as a primary point of contact for Prime Brokerage or Prime Finance clients, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality client service solutions
- Strong research and analytical capabilities to interpret complex event data, resolve intricate client inquiries, and utilize advanced spreadsheet tools (e.g., MS Excel)
- Experience in coordinating and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions
- Strong risk awareness with a proactive approach to identifying, managing, and mitigating operational risks, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of control issues
- Solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance standards, and ethical business practices
