Job Overview
The Director or Vice President, Equity Derivatives Sales - Canada is a senior-level position responsible for selling equity derivatives to Canadian institutional clients. The objective of this role is to act as strategic advisor to our clients, marketing derivative strategies, and executing equity derivatives and delta one products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with Canadian institutional clients including Pension Funds, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, and Insurance companies
- Market and execute equity derivative products and delta one strategies including swaps, vanilla options, exotics, hybrids, QIS strategies
- Maintain senior level account coverage and relationships with portfolio managers and traders
- Collaborate with partners in structuring, trading, strategy, research, and the broader sales team across regions to deliver the full Citi equity derivatives product suite
- Stay up to date on markets and equity derivative products and offerings
- Obtain and maintain all required registrations/licenses within the appropriate timeframe
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
- Job is based in Toronto, but can also consider Montreal
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of overall relevant experience with some experience at a large investment bank and a focus on the Canadian market
- Experience marketing to institutional clients including Pension Funds, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, and Insurance companies
- Demonstrated track record of building client relationships, generating revenue, and driving client business
- Strong understanding of linear and non-linear equity derivative products including Swaps, OTC options, exotics, hybrids, QIS
- Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Strong client relationships with Quebec clients is an asset
- Fluency in French is an asset
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred.
