The KYC Business Senior Program Lead Data Expert role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate execution of data transfer and integration into new applications according to the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and Standard (CDGS). The role reports into the KYC Optimization and Enablement team. 

The Business Senior Data Analyst position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to 1) drive one or more Data Use Cases aligned to KYC Modernization Strategy from start to finish, ensuring compliance with Citi's Data Governance policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and related documents. This includes identifying gaps in data quality controls to reduce risk, partner and collaborate with data consumers on data quality remediation challenges; document data flows, processes, and procedures; ensuring data requirements are implemented. 2) Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of risk processes, systems and reporting, the Citi Data Operating Model. 

This role requires excellent data analysis skills, in addition to strong presentation / communication skills to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and external customers. 

Accountable for significant direct business results with respect to meeting KYC Modernization commitments and data governance compliance (inclusive of updating and tracking progress within various data and project management tools). 3) This position also requires ability to use project management tools and KYC systems. 


Responsibilities:

  • Drive execution of the KYC Modernization efforts with specific focus on for Citi data governance policy alignment and data strategy. 
  • Partner with data owners and consumers to agree on the scope of data requirements, critical data elements, data quality challenges, and success criteria of the effort 
  • Analyze data lineage documentation and create or support the creation of data and system flow documentation and process maps. 
  • Support the updates for key data capabilities including metadata repositories, data dictionaries, data lineage, business process maps, and training materials with the data and system process flows. 
  • Partner with business data owners required to ensure maintenance of key artifacts and overall data quality improvements.
  • Consolidate disparate information about the data, as well as ensure a sustainable understanding of how data flows through operational and analytic platforms and assist Data owner formulating a path forward plan. 
  • Partner with the Chief Data Office to institute and manage change management processes related to data and system flow documentation and related data governance procedures. 
  • Identify and support opportunities continuously to streamline and simplify the execution of data transformation initiatives and data capabilities. 
  • Be a trusted and informed advisor/partner to regional teams and lines of business staff members. 
  • Prepare and present status updates and solutions to stakeholders, business partners, and technology teams in a succinct manner to drive decisions and actions. 
  • Drive meetings and working sessions to solve issues, challenges, and risks by factoring input from business and technology partners and diverse points of view. 
  • Provides user and operational support including documentation of business/ data requirements using Agile methodologies and Sprint iterative development. 
  • Interpret data and analyzing results to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets. 
  • Understand current data handling processes and business requirements to help determine new and innovative ways to provide end-to-end data flow solutions. 
  • Address potential barriers to timely execution before they impact the delivery, communicate potential risks and plans to mitigate issues and concerns 
  • Advise or coach to new or junior team members and work as a team member to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned. 
  • Provide guidance and collaborate with remote teams in partnership to achieve program goals 
  • Project Management – Track, execute, and report against the Use Case Plan / Business Critical milestone, deliverables, and activities. 
  • Support the workstream leads for development of communication materials and presentations for senior management, including Data councils, Operating Committee, EMT members or other key stakeholders as required. 
  • Ability to successfully interface with all levels and areas of the organization and establish close working relationships 

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years relevant experience in Data Management 
  • Experience in Program/Project management in medium to large scale initiative engagements 
  • SAS knowledge
  • Strong business analysis competency with hands on experience in data analysis and lineage. Experience with data governance preferred 
  • AML/KYC experience preferred. 
  • Organizational savvy: understands systems, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret them 
  • Working knowledge of Citi’s Data Governance Policy or Operating Model preferred 
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and has high attention to details. 
  • Innovative thinker that will challenge the status quo. 
  • Has strong experience in facilitating collaboration within and across teams. 
  • Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences 
  • Able to influence key decisions using factual data points. 
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and has high attention to details. 
  • Highly motivated, organized and methodical 
  • Logical, analytic and rational 
  • Demonstrated team player 


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree  
  • Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$130,880.00 - $196,320.00
