Are you a visionary Product Owner passionate about fighting financial crime and building impactful products? Do you thrive in an agile, dynamic environment where your strategic decisions directly shape critical outcomes? Join our innovative team at Citi and lead the charge in delivering cutting-edge solutions that protect our customers and the global financial system.

This pivotal role is a key part of our organizational growth strategy, empowering you to own the product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, within a critical domain. We are seeking a leader who can articulate a compelling product vision, inspire development teams, and collaborate seamlessly with diverse stakeholders to turn strategic goals into tangible results.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and Champion Product Vision: Own the product and value stream vision, serving as the strategic north star for multiple Scrum Teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Drive Strategic Product Roadmap: Lead the functional design process, develop comprehensive product roadmaps, and leverage deep understanding of user needs and technology to create innovative solutions.
  • Lead Agile Product Development: Operate within a fast-paced agile environment, continuously refining business needs, prioritizing initiatives, outlining milestones, and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Maximize Business Value: Create, own, and strategically prioritize the product backlog (features and epics) to consistently deliver maximum business value.
  • Foster User-Centricity: Utilize User Story Maps to visualize user experience, facilitate backlog decomposition with technology teams, and ensure clear, actionable requirements.
  • Collaborate and Deliver: Partner closely with engineering teams on estimations, testing, and release processes, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
  • Measure and Optimize: Track product performance post-launch, gather continuous feedback from stakeholders, and iterate on solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Cultivate a Culture of Excellence: Champion OKRs to align teams, foster accountability, and proactively address risks and dependencies.
  • Represent the Product: Actively participate in Scrum events, ensuring strong alignment with the broader Product Management vision.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner with:

  • Extensive Agile Experience: 6+ years in agile cultures, including 5+ years as a Lead Product Owner for a significant program, preferably within the banking or financial services domain.
  • Strategic Prioritization Skills: Proven ability to prioritize initiatives effectively to maximize business value, even when managing diverse stakeholder requests.
  • Exceptional Communication & Collaboration: Outstanding interpersonal skills to engage, influence, and align stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Acumen: Strong analytical capabilities with a talent for synthesizing complex information and making data-driven decisions.
  • Product Delivery Track Record: A successful history of delivering products on time and within scope.
  • Familiarity with Modern Methodologies: Understanding of design thinking, behavior-driven development (BDD), and experience creating context/process diagrams.
  • Agile Tool Proficiency: Expertise with leading agile management tools (e.g., Atlassian suite, MS Teams).
  • Relevant Certifications: Advanced Product Owner certifications (e.g., SAFe PO/PM) are highly valued.

Nice to have skills:

  • Financial Crimes experience preferably in sanction screenings
