Citi’s Functions Technology is responsible for delivering Technology solutions to Citi's Functions organizations.  Functions Technology mission is to optimize Citi's Technology environment by delivering world class applications, driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of systems supporting global functions such as Compliance, Controls, Internal Audit and Risk, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and create a competitive advantage for Citi.

The Citi Global Functions Technology Organization is responsible for supporting and building technology and user experiences that functions, is fit for purpose, and and makes things simpler for employees at Citi. Our team is global and is responsible for making business processes run smoother and bringing innovation and technology to our workforce. We focus on providing an amazing experience to our users in a fast-paced environment made up of over 200,000 employees across over 100 countries.

This position is responsible for Product Management of complex/critical/large projects within the Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) Technology organization. Successful candidates will have collaboration and partnership experience cross-functionally and across multiple locations globally. This position will need to understand the ESPA business needs and be able to lead and direct a team of professionals to imagine, design, and deliver upon quality technology products.

  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of the ESPA organization, which ranges from Digital Communications, Corporate Regulatory Enterprise and Sustainability Commitments, to Real Estate Services, and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the product and delivered outcomes.

  • Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions in delivering of a full range of services across ESPA business lines.

  • Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.

  • Accountable for the end results of the ESPA product areas.

  • Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning.

  • Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area.

  • Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.


Responsibilities:

  • Owns long-term strategic view (3-5 years) of responsible ESPA product areas

  • Builds strong partnership with the business stakeholders to help drive strategic direction and investment decisions

  • Owns development and communicates the long-term vision, goals, and strategies

  • Understands domain and competitive landscape; may lead company-wide decision making

  • Inspires a culture of “test and learn” experimentation and innovation to solve core business and end user needs

  • Leverages user research, feedback, competitive analysis and industry trends to drive investment choices that will cultivate long-term innovation for the business

  • Owns the organizational planning and serves as the representative to senior leadership

  • Compiles content for periodic Exec level communications, reviews and updates

  • Continuously monitors the KPIs of portfolio and reviews regularly with technology peers and business partners

  • Primary interface with the business and stakeholders

  • Makes trade off decisions for product portfolio

  • Owns business and platform requirements

  • Sets the direction for the platform design

  • Determines release goals

  • Creates a comprehensive user experience for an entire product user base domain using various design thinking techniques

  • Develops method for prioritization and triage of new changes and defects for team to apply, makes key decisions on showstoppers and end product quality

  • For any issues, communicates to Sr. Management; assess the alternatives to resolve (“path to green”) and builds a plan for resolution; makes recommendations that will meet the goals and may directly implement resolution plans

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a product line management, e-commerce, and/or strategic planning role.

  • Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models.

  • Has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products / services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.

  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.

  • First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience managing a Tech Team

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills, including the ability to identify and develop product management talent.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$153,600.00 - $230,400.00
