The Department

Developer Enablement is a function of the CTO organization. Our mission is to make it easy and enjoyable for software engineering teams to go from a business idea to delivering an innovative product solution. The main goals are to improve and upgrade our tools, streamline our processes, automate and strengthen our controls, and help development teams adopt modern working methods.

The Role

Engineers are critical to building the products and services we need to deliver innovative tooling within our department. Joining us a Senior Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to build high-profile products, work closely with a talented group of peers and have the room to build and improve your own skillset. We believe that our Engineers should be a part of all steps of our product from idea to execution and you will be a key part along every step of that journey.

As a Collaboration Engineer, you will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of user needs, IT automation, and contribute to the overall product vision. You will work to deliver Jira, Confluence and other collaboration tools to a large enterprise customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Create scripts and customizations to vendor tools
• Design, develop, and test software applications
• Work closely with other team members to ensure that the software is developed and delivered on time and within budget
• Set the standards for what good looks like; High quality software and great user experiences
• Ensure our software platforms are compliant with Citi's security and Software Development Life Cycle processes
• Work with a wide variety of teams across the organisation and help drive them towards an everything-as-code and a codified controls mind-set
• Support and drive cultural change, instigating critical thinking about controls and processes and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement

Experience:

• 8+ Years of experience working in IT systems and automation
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer in product teams
• Strong experience customizing enterprise software
• Experience delivering Java/SpringBoot or JavaScript code with a Mongo database to production
• Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in an agile software development environment
• Experience with Kafka, Kafka Streams, and managing large volumes of data a plus

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
