Job Overview
We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Australia Custody Country Head based in Sydney, Australia. The Australia Custody Country Head is a senior level position responsible for the Australia custody franchise and the development of product , strategies and tactics and risk and control. In addition to the Australia country role, this candidate will also assist the Japan, Asia North & Australia Custody Head in cross-cluster initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Assist in development and analysis of strategic enhancements and development, product launches in Australia and across the cluster
Participate in day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, as well as lead the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
Mange a team of 1 staff
Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience
Knowledge of Investor / Securities Services product or client coverage
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated analytical skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and drive product P&L – revenue, profitability, returns, plan, balance sheet. Define and drive achievement of targets and financial performance.
Define and manage strategic roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from custody product suite.
Lead Custody product differentiation and innovation efforts, including launch of initiatives to increase revenues. Work with global partners to drive consistent and seamless improvement in custody capabilities.
Execute on key strategic priorities of the Custody business,
Oversee day-to-day product management functions such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies.
Oversee all aspects of product life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field.
Analyze key market developments in Australia with a view to proactively provide actionable market intelligence to clients and to support market advocacy efforts..
Lead and maintain risk, control and regulatory reviews and governance forums, operations resilience exercise across the cluster
Connect to industry sources to share industry specific updates to product and operations partners.
Support Product Sales Specialists regarding Custody enquiries.
Work closely with Operations & Technology function and co-ordinate transformations across the Cluster
