Job Overview
Overview:
This is a role within the Asia South Cluster Liquidity Management Services (LMS) team, responsible for driving product strategy, commercialization, and portfolio optimization across the cluster. This position offers significant senior-level exposure and plays a leading role in managing the current portfolio, shaping long-term strategy, and overseeing the allocation of investment to execute key initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a leader and a team player, responsible for partnering with local and regional teams to drive execution, ensuring alignment with our global product pillars, and maintaining a pristine control environment. This role requires driving action and collaboration across the organization—including with Operations, Technology, Sales, Banking, Implementation, Legal, and Compliance—to achieve the cluster's business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercialization & Business Growth:
- Drive corridor data & commercialization initiatives and the adoption of cash concentration, pooling, deposits, and investment products, for both onshore and offshore structures.
- Partner with PDS and develop a liquidity products connectivity and integration with Client’s ( Enterprise Resource Planning System / Treasury Management System) ERP/TMS content and support client/sales/banking advisory.
- Drive billing and fee growth initiatives for the cluster jointly with global liquidity product partners.
- Drive horizontal cash initiatives by working closely & collaborating with sales, banking, payments & platform and data services teams.
- Shape and execute the defend strategy for top corporate, commercial bank, public sector & financial institution clients, driving both revenue growth and client retention.
- Lead the cluster's commercialization strategy, leveraging growth industry analytics, client flows, and data to generate sales leads and monitor campaign effectiveness.
- Creating client facing content to drive commercialization targeting advisory for Treasurer & CFO clients
2. Portfolio Optimization:
- Drive overall deposit portfolio volume growth through targeted strategies and initiatives.
- Lead portfolio optimization efforts, dynamically adjusting strategies to maximize revenue and returns.
- Enhance the quality of the cluster's deposit book by strategically managing the currency mix and overall sub- product composition.
3. Strategic Business Initiatives :
- Lead key strategic initiatives for the Asia South Cluster, including Liquidity Premium (LP) optimization, Resolution Liquidity Adequacy and Positioning (RLAP), Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Return on Tangible Common Equity (ROTCE) improvement projects.
- Analyze and contribute to the strategic product roadmaps for the cluster. Client to global product feedback loop on platform, products & capabilities.
- Continuously analyze the competitive industry landscape to identify trends, threats, and opportunities for strategic advantage.
- Support cluster expense review, strategies and initiatives execution jointly with the global business execution teams.
4. Risk & Controls:
- Provide dedicated Risk & Controls support and oversight across the Asia South Cluster, with a focused mandate on key markets such as Singapore (SG) and the ASEAN sub-cluster, to ensure a pristine control environment.
- Ensure adherence to all policies and apply sound ethical judgment, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Manage and escalate control issues with transparency and support in-country audits and regulatory queries as required.
- Review latent risks in operational processes and in existing and new partnerships.
- Support global risk & control initiatives across products and balance sheet teams.
5. Products, Platform, Client Experience & Digitization:
- Drive initiatives to improve product platform usage, enhance client experience, and streamline overall product delivery.
- Lead the digitization of end-to-end product implementation and operational processes in partnership with global and regional partners across cash concentration, pooling, deposits and investments products.
- Oversee client communication strategies and act as a point of escalation for client problem resolution to ensure a superior client experience and drive client retention.
- Manage product rollouts/ adoption, and conduct testing, risk and control assessments to enable friction-free launches.
- Review and refine the client experience strategies for the cluster, to ensure solid VOC scores.
- Regular Competition, Market Landscape change, disruptors & Coalition feedback tracking & analytics.
6. Business Performance Analytics:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial metrics to inform strategic portfolio management and decision-making.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify and address revenue or process leakages.
- Track and report on annual revenue and expense targets, and support client discussions to help drive wins, program growth, and new deal ramp-up.
7. AI and Digital Assets Commercialization:
- Lead commercialization efforts for emerging technologies, including AI and Digital Assets, within the horizontal cash i.e. liquidity & payments product ecosystem.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to integrate innovative solutions that enhance product offerings and client value.
- Work towards driving efficiency in cluster team activities leveraging AI.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in product management, corporate treasury, or finance.
- Proven experience in a regional or cluster-level role is highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of the Asia South Cluster liquidity and cash management landscape, including industry players, regulatory environments, and ecosystem partners.
- Collaborative team player who is keen to make a difference
- Broad and diverse functional experience, with a strong background in product development, analytics, commercialization, and risk management.
- Experience with AI, digital assets, or advanced data analytics in a financial context is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adjust priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work unsupervised and drive results across a matrixed organization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree is Good To Have.
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, specialized analytics, or a related discipline is highly relevant.
