Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedSenior Java Developerto join our enterprise engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and resilient software applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, system architects, and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.

As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior developers, champion software engineering best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development lifecycle and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Design

• System Design:Lead the architectural design of scalable, secure, and highly available microservices and distributed systems.
• API Development:Design and implement robust RESTful and gRPC APIs, ensuring high performance and seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems.
• Database Modeling:Design efficient relational and non-relational database schemas, optimizing queries for performance and scalability.

2. Software Development & Delivery

• Clean Code:Write clean, well-structured, maintainable, and production-ready Java code adhering to SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Modern Stack:Leverage the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data) to build enterprise-grade applications.
• Asynchronous Processing:Implement event-driven architectures using message brokers such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.

3. DevOps & Cloud Integration

• CI/CD Pipelines:Build, configure, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Containerization:Package applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes or OpenShift platforms.
• Cloud Infrastructure:Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

4. Quality Assurance & Testing

• Automated Testing:Write comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
• Code Quality:Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce static analysis standards (e.g., SonarQube), and maintain high test coverage.
• Performance Tuning:Identify bottlenecks, optimize memory usage, and conduct JVM profiling and garbage collection tuning.

5. Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentorship:Guide and mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Agile Practices:Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Technical Documentation:Create and maintain clear system architecture diagrams, API specifications, and runbooks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on enterprise Java applications.
  • Proven track record of designing and deploying microservices architectures in a production environment.
  • Strong experience with relational databases and SQL optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of security standards (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, TLS).
