Reactivate Your Career Program – Java Full stack Developer

Citi   is delighted to open applications for the Application Development and Software Engineering stream of its Reactivate Your Career Program. The Program is designed to help you transition from a career break into a career within financial services. You may have worked in the finance sector, the tech sector or another industry altogether!

Returners in the Application Development and Software Engineering stream, will have the opportunity to utilize their knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code.  

We are interested in applications from those who have a range of experience including, but not limited to:  

• Experience:4 years of proven software development experience, specializing in Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, and Oracle.

• Full Stack Proficiency:Demonstratedability to design, develop, andmaintainboth front-end and back-end components of robust web applications.

• Back-End Development:Solid experience in developing server-side logic and APIs using languages such as Java, Python, or similar. 

• Database Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, with a deep understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), particularly Oracle. 

• AI:Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and interest in leveraging AI to enhance productivity

This supportive hiring programme will start inSeptember2026 and you will benefit from a structured and in-depth induction to help you transition successfully back into the workplace, followed by a tailored programme of professional development and learning delivered over a period of 4 weeks.

Eligible candidates will.... 

• Have been on a career break for at least 18 months

• Have a minimum of 4-5years professional work experience in an Application Development / Software Engineering environment 

• Be eligible to live and work in India 

• Demonstrate natural curiosity and be motivated to learn new skills, with a proactive attitude toward new technologies and methodologies  

• Exhibit excellent teamwork, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams 

• Effective communicator with a problem solving mindset and exhibit accountability  

• Possess working knowledge of English
