Services is a leading provider of cash management, treasury, trade, clearing, depository receipts and commercial cards services. Services has a global network spanning more than 100 countries and is unique in the industry for its reach and product offering. We provide clients with dynamic information, tools, and APIs to effectively manage their portfolios, financial positions, working capital and supply chains.
One of the key functions within Services is Core Banking Technology. This group is responsible for technology that drives Core Banking capabilities for our clients. Core Accounts Technology is currently undergoing a multi-year large scale transformation tackling eCommerce-scale growth programs as well as retirement of the legacy infrastructure, building out of a next generation best in class set of capabilities that will evolve as our Client, Market, Consent Order and Regulatory needs evolve across the globe and also addressing the current regulatory demands on the existing platform.
As such, we are looking for talented technologists to help build the future of global banking Platform as well as addressing the current need on existing platform and right place them accordingly. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of this transformation journey.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Dev Lead will be responsible for design and development of data solutions from the Core Accounts DDA platform to Reference Data platforms, Data Warehouse, Data Lake as well as other local reporting systems which consume data from Core Accounts and will be responsible for the stability and performance optimization of the delivered solutions.
Drive the design and development to support use-cases of 2025 from finance, risk, services business and also helping on other key initiative under Consent Order as Data Concerns Remediation.
Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from multiple sources.
Optimize data processing and transformation workflows for efficiency and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in ETL processes.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to define data requirements.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are met.
Develop and maintain metadata and documentation for ETL processes.
Work with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) if applicable.
Implement and manage job scheduling and automation tools.
Provide technical guidance to Data Engineers for development standardization to minimize the application outage to ensure Consent Order related delivery timeline SLAs are met for data pipelines.
Assess opportunities to simplify/rationalize/refactor the existing database schemas paving way for modularization of the existing stack
Liaise closely with Solutions Architect team that is responsible for implementing data strategies and developing logical and physical data models.
Qualifications:
10 + years relevant industry experience
Working Experience with ETL tools - Talend or AbInitio.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
Experience in Data modeling, Data lineage analysis, Operational reporting, preferably in a global organization
Extensive Experience with ETL optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience in API integration, web services, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Hands-on experience with version control tools (Git, SVN, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience/Familiarity with one or more of these tools
Familiarity with big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) is a plus.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for ETL deployment.
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree, or equivalent experience required
