Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Trade Middle Office Performance Analyst to join our newly established Control Tower team within Trade Working Capital Solutions. This role will be pivotal in driving performance excellence for our Client Service and Middle Office functions by managing key metrics, developing comprehensive dashboards, and optimizing workflow processes. The Trade Middle Office Performance Analyst will leverage data analytics to identify business opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and act as a performance manager for the team. This role requires strong collaboration with Technology teams and a deep understanding of trade finance products.

Responsibilities:

• Performance Management & Analytics:
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to Trade Working Capital Solutions products for Client Service and Middle Office teams.
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to visualize performance trends, identify bottlenecks, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide insightful analysis on operational data, highlighting areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Process Optimization & Workflow Management:
  • Map, analyze, and optimize current workflow processes within the Client Service and Middle Office functions to improve turnaround times and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
• Business Opportunity Generation:
  • Utilize data analytics to proactively identify business opportunities, such as potential guarantees renewals or optimization of credit line utilization.
  • Collaborate with the Middle Office to generate and qualify leads, contributing directly to business growth.
• Technology & Data Collaboration:
  • Partner with Technology teams to design, develop, and implement reporting tools, data pipelines, and analytical solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all metrics and dashboards.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as a subject matter expert on performance metrics and workflow processes for Trade Working Capital Solutions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing metrics, developing dashboards, and optimizing business processes.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a financial services role, preferably within Trade Finance, Working Capital Solutions, or a related product area.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, including Tableau and advanced skills in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts and analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for diverse audiences, including business stakeholders, senior management, product teams, and sales. Highly collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across different functions and levels of the organization.
• Strong executive presence suitable for a senior level role, capable of influencing decisions and driving initiatives across organizational levels coupled with demonstrated analytical mindset with a strong ability to problem-solve and identify actionable insights from data.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting is highly desirable.
• A solid understanding of Trade Finance products (e.g., Guarantees, Letters of Credit, Supply Chain Finance) and the overall financial industry is a significant advantage.
