Discover your future at Citi

Working at Citi is far more than just a job. A career with us means joining a team of more than 230,000 dedicated people from around the globe. At Citi, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, give back to your community and make a real impact.

Job Overview

Citi Wealth is one of the world’s leading wealth management businesses, serving clients across the full wealth continuum — from mass affluent to ultra-high-net-worth — in over 100 countries.

We are seeking a senior Wealth Content Strategy leader to help define and drive Citi Wealth’s global content ambition. This Director-level role (C15) reports to the Head of Content Strategy & Client Engagement and will play a central leadership role in shaping how Citi Wealth uses content to engage clients, support advisors, and differentiate its investmentexpertise.

This leader will serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Citi Wealth content operation — setting the editorial agenda, owning the global content strategy, and leading a team of Content Strategists deployed across our business lines. The role demands deep expertise across wealth management and markets, married with the editorial instincts to know a great story when you see one, the strategic rigor to build the frameworks that find more of them, and the creative ambition to tell them in ways this industry hasn't seen before.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, enact and continuously evolve the global content strategy for Citi Wealth: establishing a rigorously researched roadmap that articulates where we play, what we lead with, and how content supports client engagement and links back to business growth across the full wealth continuum.
  • Channel the editorial agenda with authority; maintaining a panoramic view of all Citi Wealth content and its relevant, distinct positioning across formats and outlets.
  • Lead and develop a team of Content Strategists embedded across Citi Wealth's business lines, acting as their editorial director: setting the standard, sharpening their instincts, and ensuring the stories they surface are worth telling at scale.
  • Coach the Content Strategy team to function as translators: capable of extracting house views, investment insights, and planning expertise that live inside the business and transforming them into content that earns attention, builds trust, and moves people to act.
  • Build appointment-to-view content franchises that our target audience will seek out rather than scroll past. Identify and present the themes, formats, and voices that earn Citi Wealth a consistent place in the lives of our clients' and prospects.
  • Define audience-based content strategies that reflect the full sophistication of our client base. Ensuring the right stories for Wealth-Ready clients through to a Citi Private Bank client are served up at the apposite moment in the appropriate manner.
  • Guide format and platform decisions with strategic intent: knowing when a subject demands a long-form investigation, a 60-second video, a live panel, or a data visualization, and having the taste to tell the difference.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Investments, Advisory, Marketing, and Client Engagement to align the editorial calendar with business priorities; acting as a trusted strategic advisor, not just a content executor.
  • Establish and monitor the metrics that actually matter, moving the team beyond open rates and impressions toward engagement quality, advisor adoption, and content's demonstrable contribution to tangible business outcomes.
  • Use performance data, client feedback, and competitive intelligence as editorial inputs by treating every insight as a signal about what to commission next, what to move on from, and where the opportunity sits.
  • Stay close to the competitive landscape with a restless curiosity; tracking what the best content operations in financial services and beyond are doing, identifying where they fall short, and ensuring Citi Wealth leads rather than follows.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, or thought leadership, with meaningful time spent in or around wealth management, asset management, or financial services.
  • Deep subject-matter expertise across wealth management and investments, including markets, portfolio construction, alternatives, and financial planning. You speak the language and can hold your own in a boardroom full of portfolio managers.
  • The editorial instincts of a seasoned Editor-in-Chief: you know a great story when you hear one, you know how to tell it, and you know when to pass.
  • A proven track record of leading and developing content teams: setting standards, building culture, and elevating the work of the people around you.
  • A clear, ambitious, and credible point of view on the future of Wealth content, matched with the conviction and diplomacy to advocate for it in a complex, global organization.
  • Experience shaping content for advisors, bankers, or client-facing professionals; an understanding of how content functions as a business tool, not just a brand asset.
  • Evidence of pushing the boundaries of what financial content can look, sound, and feel like. Candidates who have produced work that broke the mold of this category are strongly preferred.
  • Experience working effectively in regulated environments while maintaining creative ambition and editorial standards.
  • Samples of differentiated work are highly encouraged alongside your application

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
