Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and driven sales lead and grow and originate relationships with key financial intermediary clients and prospects of Investor Services. This role is pivotal in driving significant revenue growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and identifying new business opportunities with a strong emphasis on sales and business development.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will maintain ownership of key commercial relationships, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Strategic Client Engagement:

    • Oversee the strategic direction and aggressive growth of complex client relationships, particularly with banks, broker-dealers, and other financial intermediaries

    • Deeply understand and articulate clients' corporate and product strategies, organizational structure, financials, and recent organizational developments to proactively identify and capitalize on sales opportunities

    • Serve as the senior escalation point for client relationships, effectively resolving complex issues and managing senior-level client interactions

  • Business Development & Growth:

    • Drive the retention of existing revenue and aggressively pursue the generation of new client revenues through proactive cross-selling and up-selling initiatives

    • Understand the client's overall wallet share, identify organic growth opportunities, and execute cross-sell opportunities across the full suite of Citi products

    • Identify and pursue prospective clients, leveraging a robust understanding of the financial intermediary client base and emerging needs to drive new sales

  • Relationship Management & Collaboration:

    • Build and maintain long-lasting, trusted client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients within Citi

    • Navigate and build strong cross-functional partnerships across all lines-of-business within client organizations and internal Citi teams (e.g., Product Management, Client Solutions, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, Banking) to ensure seamless delivery and enhance footprint

    • Lead and coordinate the negotiation of all legal contracts, business, and risk updates, ensuring appropriate oversight

  • Product & Market Expertise:

    • Provide clients with thought leadership on regulatory changes, industry trends, and product solutions

    • Understand existing and future products to propose recommendations, and drive continuous enhancement of Citi products and services

    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Direct Custody, Fund Services, Execution Services, Custody FX, agency securities lending, outsourced liquidity management solutions, and the broader Investor Services industry

  • Risk & Compliance:

    • Identify, own, escalate, and mitigate all risks (market, credit, operational, compliance, reputational) derived from client and deal management processes

    • Adhere to Citi's Code of Conduct and all defined policies and procedures

  • Financial Accountability:

    • Responsible for client profitability and efficiency

    • Negotiate pricing and terms for new products in partnership with the Product organization

    • Deliver the firm: refer business to firm-wide partners

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 7-10+ years of relevant experience in relationship management or sales role within a global financial institution

    • Knowledge of and experience covering the financial intermediary (bank, broker-dealer, clearinghouse, etc.) client base, preferably within an Investor Services business

    • Proven track record of managing complex issue resolution and driving significant sales and revenue growth

  • Skills:

    • Exceptional ability to manage by influence and demonstrate strong leadership in a matrix environment

    • Highly driven, results-oriented, problem-solving mindset with proven cross-selling skills

    • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in external meetings and senior-level discussions

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills, including deal economics acumen

    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and adapt to dynamic business and client demands

    • Willingness and motivation for continuous learning regarding business, client demands, and global market developments

    • In-depth understanding of the regulatory, risk, and control environment impacting the Investor Services business

    • Keen risk and control awareness/focus

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
