Job Overview

The Sales Support Specialist is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Support Specialist provides sales support coverage across all Markets products in Korea
  • This particular role directs the creation and timely delivery of responses to prospective client proposals, coordinating closely with sales and client executive leads
  • Individual ensures client onboarding process is managed efficiently and effectively with proper due diligence and proactiveness for smooth client experience.
  • Responsible for coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure standard responses held within relevant systems and content library are kept current and accurate
  • Individual proactively supports sales team to manage the ‘First Line of Defense’ in the area such as minimizing credit line breaches; ensuring credit facilities are sufficient and maintained to support trading 
  • Work in close partnership with support functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance, Operations to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Own the KYC process for Markets-only clients that does not have local RM or Sales coverage. Ensure KYC in place and relevant legal documentation are executed before trading.
  • Own the Markets specific client outreach activities such as contacting counterparty banks, financial institutions, brokers to collect onboarding / KYC / AML documentations and pass information to KYC Ops team. 
  • Support new product launching and new activities led by Sales Desk
  • Support internal / external audit submissions.
  • Support client events and promotions. 
  • Prepare business review and data collection. 
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services


Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Markets, sales support, operations, or risk experience in financial institutions, banks, securities
  • Advanced knowledge in FX, fixed income /rates, derivatives products, and its sales process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Proven communications and project management skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

주요 업무 및 책임

  • 고객 온보딩 프로세스가 due diligence를 통해 효과적이고 효율적으로 진행되도록 하여 고객 경험 향상 지원
  • 세일즈 데스크의 1차 방어선의 역할을 적극적으로 수행
  • 각 데스크의 1차 방어선 컨트롤 모니터링 지원: credit line breach, credit facilities, KYC 수행 및 온보딩 문서관련 지원 등
  • 세일즈 데스크과 지원부서간의 이슈에 대하여 escalation 및 해결 수행
  • 기관고객 중 마켓온리 고객에 대한 KYC 수행
  • 자금시장그룹의 대고객 outreach 수행 예) 거래상대방은행, FI, 브로커 온보딩 수행, KYC / AML 수행 및 KYC Ops와의 협업
  • 세일즈 데스크에서 진행하는 신상품 판매 및 프로젝트 관련 지원
  • 내외부 감사자료 수집 및 작성 지원
  • 고객 이벤트 및 프로모션 지원
  • 비지니스 리뷰자료 작성 및 데이터 수집 지원

자격요건

  • 5-7년 유관경력, 금융 및 외환시장 관련 경력 선호(오퍼레이션, 리스크, 고객온보딩, 미들오피스 등), 외환 파생상품에 대한 이해와 지식 보유자, 관련 학위 보유자
  • 원활한 영어/한국어 구두/서면능력 및 MS office 사용기술
  • 명확하고 간결한 의사소통 능력
  • 우수한 협업 능력
  • 강한 업무 추진력과 실행력, 철저한 이행 능력과 꼼꼼함
