Job Overview
Citi is evolving its current commerce offerings and branching into new avenues of growth by offering merchants access to high value cardmembers across Citi’s digital properties and partner placements. By combining Citi’s scale, trusted customer relationships, and real purchase insights, the business delivers advertising that is relevant to customers and drives measurable, incremental impact for advertisers.
We're building Citi Commerce from the ground up, and we're looking for a programmatic media subject matter expert who knows how to translate client objectives into flawless campaign execution. Someone who is equally comfortable setting a long-term team vision and rolling up their sleeves on technical requirements, and who takes pride in building campaigns that perform, scale, and evolve with the market.
If you've spent your career leading large-scale programmatic media teams and you're ready for the challenge of a lifetime, this is the role.
The Programmatic Media Group Manager will lead the team managing the day-to-day execution of Citi Commerce operations, ensuring seamless campaign setup, delivery, and performance across Citi’s owned and partner channels. This role is critical to building operational excellence from the ground up, including inventory management, campaign trafficking, and process development to support scalable growth.
Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end ad operations processes, including campaign setup, trafficking, QA, and delivery
- Own campaign execution lifecycle from IO through completion, ensuring timelines and performance goals are met
- Track and manage advertising inventory across Citi-owned and operated properties
- Monitor campaign pacing and delivery; proactively identify and resolve issues (e.g., discrepancies, under-delivery, audience mismatches)
- Activate audience segments using Citi’s first-party data and partner platforms
- Partner closely with Sales and Planning teams to align campaign execution with advertiser objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure operational excellence across channels
- Evaluate and implement new adtech solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Communicate campaign performance and operational insights to key stakeholders
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in branding, marketing or analytics and leading teams
- 8-10 years of experience in Ad Operations, campaign management, or programmatic media within a publisher, ad network, or commerce media environment
- Experience with Ad product and inventory management plans
- Experience designing and implementing campaign reporting frameworks and performance dashboards
- Experience managing scalable operational processes for campaign execution and trafficking
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred (Highly preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field)
This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Hands-on experience with ad tech platforms such as Google Ad Manager (GAM), DV360, or similar ad servers and DSPs
- Proven ability to traffic campaigns end-to-end, including tag setup, pixel implementation, audience onboarding, and QA
- Strong knowledge of campaign measurement and digital media KPIs
- Experience working with audience/data platforms (e.g., LiveRamp, CDPs, clean rooms)
- Understanding of stakeholder needs across advertisers, sales, and product teams
- Experience executing both onsite (owned and operated) and offsite (programmatic, social) campaigns
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve campaign delivery issues quickly
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, build-from-scratch environment with evolving tools and processes
