Reporting to the NAM B2B Product Head, the SVP eCommerce Lead role is responsible for supporting the definition & implementation of Citi’s Commercial Cards global digital payment and marketplace strategy. The successful candidate will ensure appropriate awareness of relevant innovations to profitably scale up the business, and leverage joint growth opportunities between Citi Commercial Cards and other Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) product verticals, as well as with other organizations within the bank (Consumer Cards, Citi FX,…).

The role will work closely with the Global Commercial Cards Product Leads, and contribute to the management of strategic relationships (payment networks, fintech partners, specialized providers and cross-bank) for Citi Commercial Cards. Abundant interactions with the Sales, Account Management and Operational teams will be required to identify & address competitive gaps in the Citi Commercial Cards offering, drive efficiency and best practices across the organization, and implement a collaborative framework to fuel innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of our products and value-added services to effectively support sales and client executive in eCommerce growth/prospect discussions across specific client segments and use-cases

  • Drive the vision for Citi Commercial Cards in the B2B and Ecommerce spaces in close partnership with teams engaged in product management, development, sales, marketing

  • Help define the product vision, value proposition and roadmap based on a deep understanding of the Citi Virtual Card Ecosystem and Client needs

  • Drive enhancements to our global, dual network Issuance proposition, and support the transformation of our Commercial Cards services towards a digital-centric and API-led offering

  • Build the strategy and drive implementation of Virtual Card Platform & APIs across networks

  • Assist the development of our Mobile Virtual Card strategy to enable and solve for different use cases across industry segment

  • Use customer needs, research, user studies, metrics, and competitive analysis to define and document the client needs

  • Develop detailed product requirements to implement the product vision with cross-functional teams across the organization (including design, technology, legal, risk, fraud...)

  • Provide specialist support to Sales and On-boarding team with detailed technical understanding of B2B product features & solutions (in partnership with Global team)

  • Increase our footprint within the eCommerce space through the development of differentiating solutions aimed at marketplace flows (combined acquiring & issuing, quasi-debit proposition, wholesale travel cards)

  • Strengthen collaboration with both payment networks, focusing on the cross-application of technologies & innovations between Commercial and Consumer cards (mobile virtual cards)

  • Collaborate with other TTS Groups to support the evaluation of new models & opportunities to drive the execution of the Commercial Cards growth strategy

  • Role will have daily interaction with the Global Cards Product, Client Executive and Sales teams (US and non-US). Flexible working hours and some travel should be expected

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors/University degree, Masters preferred

  • 8+ years of related experience, preferably across the Banking & Payments space

  • Commercial cards and/or Payments & Receivables experience strongly preferred

  • Strong technology background, able to understand & influence large IT projects and development cycles

  • Ability to optimize product and GTM decisions in a complex environment with competing opportunities

  • Track record of successfully executed partnerships and/or strategic technology ventures

  • Results-oriented, critical thinker, with strong project management skills

  • Capability to communicate at all levels and to work in cross-functionally / highly matrixed environment

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
