Job Overview
The U.S. Consumer Cards (USCC) Analytics & Pricing team is focused on delivering best in class data strategy, analytics, pricing, payments and statement capabilities leveraging cutting edge tools, processes and policies (e.g. leveraging new AI tools). The team plays a key role in driving sustained and profitable growth across Cards portfolios while carefully balancing customer experience with business objectives and rigorously ensuring adherence to all regulatory compliance standards.
The Head of Analytics & Pricing will report directly to the Head of U.S. Consumer Cards and will be responsible for the management of multiple teams including Product and Customer Analytics, Next Generation Analytics Capabilities, Pricing Strategy, Statement Oversight, Pricing and Payment Governance, as well as Pricing Communications & Delivery. To achieve businesses revenue, profit and controls objectives, this role requires deep Analytics expertise as well as a thorough grasp of the credit card/payments industry and regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Strategic Data & Analytics Solutions: Formulate and execute the USCC business analytics strategy while collaborating with diverse stakeholders (IT, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Credit, Fraud) to build next-generation data platforms and solutions that improve customer experience and foster sustainable business growth.
- Advanced Pricing Policy Development & Optimization: Drive the creation of comprehensive pricing policy recommendations based on in-depth customer insights, sound financial impact forecasting, and a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and regulatory environment, balancing profitability, operating expense, and customer experience.
- Lead and Innovate in Advanced Analytics: Drive best-in-class digital analytical sophistication, understanding and innovating in data sources and techniques for customer recognition, cross-channel engagement, digital acquisitions, and client retention to enhance portfolio profitability.
- Ensure Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance: Appropriately assess and mitigate risk in all business decisions, demonstrating strong ethical judgment, safeguarding the firm's reputation and assets, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Executive Influence & Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive cross-functional review and decisions on policy recommendations, present effectively to and influence executive leadership (including C-Suite), and lead strategic collaboration with diverse business constituents across the organization.
- Functional Strategy Execution & Business Impact: Take full management responsibility for executing functional strategy, determining implementation approaches, and contributing to the future strategic direction of the corporation by directing initiatives aligned to business goals and managing significant revenue and expense drivers.
- Strategic Leadership & High-Performance Team Management: Lead and develop multi-geographic teams, providing thought leadership, managing project planning, and building a high-performance culture focused on continuous learning
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of analytical work experience in financial services and financial forecasting strongly preferred, experience in Credit Cards Pricing, with deep knowledge of Data Science and of Card regulations.
- Strategic thinking and ability to frame business problems analytically.
- Superior analytical and practical problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization to both technical analysts and non-technical business leaders.
- Excellent interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
- A strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to influence cross functional partners to drive towards a common goal.
- Consistent follow through on actions and decisions.
- Reliable, results-driven, execution-focused and detail-oriented.
- Ability to build strong networks and relationships across U.S. Consumer Cards and Citigroup
- Analytical and conceptual thinker with ability to operate in “white space”.
- Highly capable in change management and proven experience in driving change.
- Comfortable operating in a highly matrixed, complex and commoditized arena and able to operate in ambiguity.
- Self-aware with ability to adapt to various situations.
- Strong people manager with recognized ability to bring in, develop, coach and export talent across the organization.
- Bachelors degree (BA,BS) required, Masters degree preferred (MS,MBA)
