Job Overview

Director, Senior Underwriter/Credit Risk Officer – Private Equity/Hedge Funds

The Credit Risk Manager will lead the underwriting, spanning various products including subscription call facilities, Fund Financing, FX Hedging, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, and structured lending. Candidate should also have experience managing other alternative managers like Hedge Funds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading PE clients/transactions risk across Investment Bank and Markets.
• Provide underwriting capabilities for the business covering full range of products
• Role demands excellence in analysis, underwriting, monitoring, and drives global consistency across regions
• Experience underwriting and supporting a portfolio of complex products
• Strong knowledge of FX Hedging, Subscription Facilities, Derivatives and structured lending
• Facilitate relationships with key clients in Banking and Markets

CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS / BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP:

• Proven ability to understand nuances of local markets, local regulation, and the capabilities and practices of competitors
• Provides well-reasoned, balanced assessments of risk/return trade-offs associated with transactions and client relationships
• Proven track record of partnering with global peers in leveraging and implementation of best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 15+ years of experience in financial services and risk management required
• Ability to understand capital markets products and complex financing and product structures
• Significant risk/risk-related counterparty credit work experience in banking/financial institutions with expertise in the alternative investment counterparties
• Demonstrates strong ethics and integrity
• Strong leadership.  Dynamic, flexible, and with strong communication skills 
• Can make decisions under pressure and short timeline
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Active listening skills. 
• Excellent presentation skills – adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and various constituencies

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
