Working at Citi is far more than just a job. A career with us means joining a team of approximately 219,000 dedicated people from around the globe. At Citi, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, give back to your community and make a real impact.
Job Overview
If you are looking for a role where you watch from the sidelines, this is not it. As an Associate on Citi's Aerospace & Defense (A&D) Corporate Banking team, you will be working directly alongside senior bankers on multi-billion dollar transactions, running credit and capital approval processes, and developing the kind of sector expertise that takes years to acquire anywhere else.
Your client universe spans the full breadth of the A&D landscape: from legacy defense primes to rocket companies that are redefining what is possible in transportation and space. These are some of the most dynamic, high-stakes businesses in the global economy and you will be helping finance their next chapter.
This is a front-office, high-growth coverage role and the trajectory is cleared for launch. That means client exposure, meaningful work, and a fast track to becoming a well-rounded banking professional at one of the world's most globally connected institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key relationship management partner to Senior Bankers across a portfolio of leading A&D clients
- Drive client pitches across cash management, trading, FX, loans, debt capital markets, share repurchase, and interest rate and equity derivatives
- Evaluate public filings, research reports, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce sharp strategic and financial analyses
- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market best practices to keep clients and the team ahead of the curve
- Coordinate and lead credit and capital committee processes from initiation to approval
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of experience in corporate banking, investment banking, or a related field
- Strong credit, corporate finance, accounting and capital markets knowledge
- The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, in writing and in person, with audiences at every level
- A process-oriented mindset – you can keep multiple workstreams moving simultaneously, and know how to align stakeholders across functions and seniority levels
- Series 63, 79 and SIE licenses strongly preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent experience
